If we’re going to be honest, it seems Riri would be more at home ‘raving it up’ with her fans than ‘performing for them’.
For, if not the skill of her dancers and the talent of her backing vocals, this would have been impossible to watch, especially when Beyonce‘s mind blowing ‘Glastonbury’ showing is still fresh in many a memory.
Yes, while it’s far from us to compare the two, it’s clear their ‘ROC’ affiliation has done nothing to spur Rihanna to follow in Bey’s footsteps- on a showmanship front.
Perhaps, if she spent less time whipping up new LPs and more time in the rehearsals, the status of her talent wouldn’t be up for date seven years into her career.

I think this site is pretty negative towards Rihanna but after watching these performances clips, I can clearly see why. Though it is freedom of speech, if Rihanna has seriously harm someone and/or committed a heinous crime, then that’s something to be surprise about. And I say this because, that’s the only thing to ever report about to be surprise about Rihanna. We all know how she sounds, performs, and so forth. What is the ACTUALLY point of promoting your dislike toward an artist who has been in the industry for awhile (and successful at what she does). She may not be your cup of tea, which I’ll respect; but the nonstop, blatant, harsh criticism toward her is disgusting, bullying, and just uncalled for. It is as if, everything she does, she is committing a crime toward humans; why report on someone you dislike?
It’s sad, and a shame to freedom of speech, when people use it to attack someone, for no justifiable reason, only because they run a site. To compare her to other artists is uncalled for; to put her down is uncalled for. Again, it’s music, they are artists, and I don’t know any artists/celebs personally. But it’s shameful to think that there isn’t any logical empathy that people should have when putting non constructive feedback toward anyone; people do have feelings too. And people wonder why celebs turn to a dark side every now and then; it’s the pressures and unwarranted attacks from people who hold this vendetta/issue against others who are simply musicians. They aren’t dictators or criminals, they just perform music you may not enjoy; yet you attack them as if they have no business opening their mouths and making an earning.
This website could be so much more without the hate. Perez Hilton realized that and stopped with his site; TMZ has slowly turn the corner; why not do the same?

That wasn’t bad at all – S&M was dodgy but there was nothing (much) wrong with Disturbia and Only Girl in the World. Love the Way You Lie was actually good, real emotion in her voice and she didn’t waver much with her vocals. At least she doesn’t lipsynch – unlike some I could mention – and is making an effort to dance a bit more now. And you HAD to get Rita into the f****** post somewhere – I don’t care if she is the most talented b**** on the planet (which she most certainly is not), she has a very LONG way to go before even coming close to what Rihanna has achieved, comparing them does Rita no favours at all as you are making her look like she is trying to be a 2nd rate Rihanna (reasonable vocals do not a great performer make) when it seems they get on very well and she wants to find her own path. Rihanna’s problem is clear in some of these videos – she is a really lazy vocallist, too much time partying and not enough honing her craft. Statistics have recently revealed that Rihanna has sold over 15 million records in the UK alone. The singer reached the astounding record this month after selling a further 5 million units of her latest album, ‘Talk That Talk’, and her previous offering, ‘Loud’…
Mercury Music Group’s president, Jason Iley, told Music Week: “Selling 15 million records in the UK is a remarkable achievement. Rihanna’s only 24 and I have no doubt she’ll sell another 15 million records in the near future. It’s not about speed, it’s about longevity, and Rihanna has a long career ahead of her.”
Since her debut album, ‘Music Of The Sun’, the Bajan star’s last five albums have become multi-platinum sellers, whilst becoming the only female artist to have a No. 1 single in five consecutive years. On stage at the Glastonbury Music Festival, Beyonce said that it was “her dream” to be there performing.
Following this performance, she’ll be in the dreams of thousands of British music fans for a long time to come.
The R&B star, the first female headliner in the history of the festival, brought down the house Sunday night, wowing a screaming audience of 170,000+ fans. The bright lights of what is considered by some to be the biggest music festival in the world were no match for the singer, as she ran through some of her biggest hits, opening with “Crazy Like That” before moving on to songs like “Single Ladies,” “Irreplaceable,” and a medley of Destiny’s Child favorites, including “Survivor” and “Say My Name.”
She also sang her new single, “1+1,” as well as “At Last,” the song she sang during President Obama’s inauguration in 2009. That performance came with a special civil rights-themed video montage — which included video of that very inauguration. See her complete setlist here.
Her husband, Jay-Z, watched from the side of the stage alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, whose husband Chris Martin performed earlier with his band Coldplay. Jay-Z, in 2008, was the first hip hop act to play the festival.

No one is trying to say Rihanna is a new Mariah, Whitney or have the voice of Beyonce but she certainly didn’t sound as bad as you consistently make out.

I loved the song Disturbia however, her performance at this concert was not impressive! What was she doing at the end of th song dancing? Right but a certain someone is a BAD PERFROMER THOUGH 0_o *serious side-f&cking-eye*
Well, I saw her whole set and i have to say that i didn’t know when i found myself dancing and singling along. I thoroughly enjoyed her set. Rihanna has really matured as a performer. Also, i think we should a times refrain from comparing Rihanna to Beyonce, we should note Beyonce is 6 years older than her, which is 6 years more time on the stage and more time honing her craft to be the Beyonce we know and respect today. I think Rihanna has seriously grown as a performer over the years and will continue to grow. I also agree that she should stop releasing album for some time and instead work on making herself into a beast on the stage because if she can spend time improving her stage presence, what she did at Hackney would be child’s play for what she is capable of doing. THIS IS AN UN-BIASED OPINION.
