Later on this year, Joss Stone will release ‘The Soul Sessions: Volume 2′ to her remaining fan base.
So, in what marks one of her best performances to date, the belter took to the UK’s ‘Sunday Brunch’ to perform the Honey Cone cut ‘While You’re Out Looking For Sugar’, all in aid of the anticipated release.
Watch below…
i like jos stone and all but i feel she could be so much bigger. only if she had better songs and went in a slightly different direction musicaly. with her voice she should be huge. like christina aguilera mariah carey britny spears huge.
Like Britney Spears?? LMAO
she thinks she knows whats best….when obviously she doesnt otherwise she would be selling adele size figures (that wasnt a j/k it was in reference to the huge music sales LOL)…
I love her voice, i just dont love her…
remaining fan base??? are u f****** crazy???
Sam likes to lick the p**** of the mediocre w**** like Rhianna, and Beyonce!!! I’m so glad she back out!! These atuo tune whores are so 2000’s !!!
THANK YOU.
The Nicki Minaj’s of the music world have 1 year left to start making serious music. Joss Stone is not a mega star, but her voice alone (not her antics) make her a popular feature on blogs. Once the fans of lessor artist start realising that its not cute to STAN for ANYONE, truly talented artists can begin to shine.
“Remaining fan base”. LOL, u’re evil.
A couple of things:
1.) TGJ, I understand that it might be slow news day, and/or your recognize the fact that making grandiose statements might more bring readers to a particular post; however, the “So, in what marks one of her performances” statement is complete rubbish and unqualified. Joss Stone slays everytime she steps to the mic, and I would argue that this was a tame performance compared to her other shows. So if you honestly felt that this was one of her best performance, I would ask you to do your homework.
2.) If nothing else, I have to commend Joss Stone on being brave enough to go the indepenedent route. Joss Stone has learned, much like many artists, that in the process of creating “huge hits” with “big record companies”, you are simply a puppet, where the record company tells you what to wear, what to sing, when to sing it, and where to sing it. Yes, having a major record deal can afford you perks, but they are never free – hence the reason we have a lot of successfully broke singers. Joss Stone is a soul singer – so chances of you hearing her singing catchy pop tunes, or prancing around with background dancers in a leotard, is highly unlikely. She is true to herself and to her craft, and I honestly believe that will better serve her in the future and guarantee her longevity because her talent is not based on gimmicks but pure talent and soul.
*** if I am gonna sass TGJ, it might be work spell checking my rants – my bad hahahaha***

Finally, a post on Joss Stone! I love this woman. I’m not that excited about her new album, granted that it’s full of covers, but when she releases another new album, I’ll be checking for her. Her voice is amazing!
