As previously reported, Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige was one of music’s many heavy hitters that lent their talents to a telethon supporting New Englanders devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
Joining a roster that included Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, and more, Mary offered ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’ a helping hand by performing a track from ‘The Help’ soundtrack – her award-nominated single ‘The Living Proof’.
As ever, Mary moved the audience with her soul stirring vocals. Need proof? It awaits below:
Does she ever sing in tune?
I’m sorry but I thought she sounded a mess
actually let me take that back, she sounds good. The first time I listened was on bad speakers.
The best! Mary is everything!
It was very moving !!!
This song is SO beautiful it makes me teary-eyed. I wish more artists would release these kind of slower paced, adult contemporary ballads that were big in the mid-90s. Just kind of nice music to put on in the background instead of dance music. BRING BACK ADULT CONTEMPORARY BALLADS!
That was truly inspirational. GO MARY J. !!!
Mary looks good #TrueLegend
She sang with her heart in this song too!
Wow! such an inspiring song. Mary did a wonderful job. #TrueQueen
MJB 4 life!!
I love me some Mary.
