Watch: Rihanna Rocks ‘The Voice’ Finale

‘Nobody’s Business’ beauty Rihanna got right down to business tonight as she took ‘The Voice’ stage to rock its finale.  Showing talented hopefuls how to do it, the hitmaker brought another shining live rendition of her latest hit ‘Diamonds’.

See Ri and her voice in action below:

Though avoiding some of the “big” notes and certainly not her most energetic showing of the tune, we still appreciate the overall consistency.  In such, we absolutely to give it to Ri as these improvements could silence even the biggest of naysayers…ourselves included.  Here’s hoping that we see more shining performances like this from the songstress (mainly so that we do not have to eat these words).

Our nightly prayer meetings for her improvement were truly not in vain.  We are finally seeing Ri prove why she deserves to be in the position she has so long held in modern pop music.

Ya hear about Rihanna breaking up with Chris brown for the 700 time smh it’s a PR stunt cause she know Rita Ora is getting buzz and is coming out with that album;)

Rihanna is trying to stay in the spotlight!

    • Monstarebel December 18, 2012

girl that has nothing to do with this amazing performance tho stfu & sit _/ _/

      • enoughalready December 19, 2012

It was not amazing, it was laced with that backing tracking. When Rihanna can stand up there and sing like Sia did then it would be amazing but she has too much help singing a suppose live song that dont, again like all her songs reauire talent. Standing sill is her savior while she is singing so NOT AMAZING just average and like all you Rita responders about singing the same song over and over that’s all Rihanna is doing… Singing it the same? I mean really is sounds the same each time no variations no where that would show some talent. Rihanna has practice this song and that’s how you get it even the facial moves, the same…

    • Mark December 18, 2012

hahahahahah, F****** who? 40K isn’t going nowhere near Rihanna’s career. Let the whora get a hit, not a #1, but a top 40 and then we MAY put her up to Cassie.

    • wrinkle flop ora December 18, 2012

You hear about Rihanna’s LP being certified platinum in the UK in less than a month, while rita ora has not even gone gold. LOL LOL

    • i&i(bare badness) December 19, 2012

Her voice was not bad at all. Ackward hand gestures tho. Love that song, the singer not so much.

I still can’t believe that after two years of not posting here that some of the same nobodies are still on this site acting like this tired worn out ho is akin to Aretha Franklin or somebody….This bytch sound like she is singing in a pitch only fit for animals to hear.

I’m SO LAUGHING at how badly she got PLAYED by Chris Breezy. She went after Chris while he was with Kae and she thought that stretch out hole of hers was something that would keep him faithful but Chris went digging in some more p**** as soon as that h***** infested snatch of hers left town. Chris had that shallow bytch looking like a damn fool,NOT once DID THAT BOY CLAIM RIHANNA,LMAO!!!!

Once she started hearing about Chris hooking up with Kae,she did what a weak bytch does, post those ugly pictures of her flat a** on twitter as if that was supposed to bring Chris back to her and the reason he is not with her is because she has no substance…..

Well she always can go set that coodie out for that camel of hers…..

No she didn’t rock it, she was terrible.

I mean, her album has only sold 420,000 copies in the United states alone in 4 weeks, what kind of floppage? Even though most artist DREAM of these numbers they’re still terrible. In 3 weeks she had only sold about 230k in the U.k, almost platinum and half of what 4 sold in a year and a half, Rihanna is a HUGE FLOP!

And don’t even get me started on the worldwide numbers. The ones for week 4 come out on friday and woowee, she is gonna do only about 200k mark my words. 972k + her 200k equals 1,172,000, more than Roman reloaded, Basic instinct, Lotus, Keyshia cole’s album, and brandy’s album. FLOPANNA STRIKES AGAIN!

CLAP, CLAP, CLAP Because Rihannas haters are slamming her because bruno beat her in sales for a week,,,,,,Gheeeese

    • Common Sense December 18, 2012

No one would call her a flop if the navy didn’t act like Rihanna is some god like legend that can’t be beat. Those are respectable numbers for a pop star. However the navy say she’s in the league of the very best, and Rihanna’s numbers are nowhere near what the legends sold.

There’s also the matter of how blind and delusional some of her fans can be towards ANYTHING that deals with her, but I’ve written enough.

      • Diamonds (Beyonce’s Weave) December 18, 2012

Plus you keep coming for 4 but it has been the best selling RnB album in the last couple of years so doesn’t make sense..

Beyonce Glastonbury Performance: Star Wows At UK Festival (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

On stage at the Glastonbury Music Festival, Beyonce said that it was “her dream” to be there performing.

Following this performance, she’ll be in the dreams of thousands of British music fans for a long time to come.

The R&B star, the first female headliner in the history of the festival, brought down the house Sunday night, wowing a screaming audience of 170,000+ fans. The bright lights of what is considered by some to be the biggest music festival in the world were no match for the singer, as she ran through some of her biggest hits, opening with “Crazy Like That” before moving on to songs like “Single Ladies,” “Irreplaceable,” and a medley of Destiny’s Child favorites, including “Survivor” and “Say My Name.”

She also sang her new single, “1+1,” as well as “At Last,” the song she sang during President Obama’s inauguration in 2009. That performance came with a special civil rights-themed video montage — which included video of that very inauguration. See her complete setlist here.

Her husband, Jay-Z, watched from the side of the stage alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, whose husband Chris Martin performed earlier with his band Coldplay. Jay-Z, in 2008, was the first hip hop act to play the festival.

To be sure, the performance is a great promotion for her new album, “4,” which drops Tuesday. See stunning photos from the performance (video is last slide):

Whoever said that youth is wasted on the young never met Rihanna. With two platinum albums to her credit and a new one likely headed in the same direction, this girl’s made her mark on the music industry. ,,

      • Lax December 19, 2012

Having a multimedia mogul like Jay-Z as her musical surrogate uncle has definitely been an advantage in an era where pop stars are cultivated and discarded like hothouse flowers—they’re nurtured, clipped at first bloom, made into an eye-catching centrepiece, and then pitched at the first sign of decay. But Rihanna’s right on track. And she’s only 19.

    • TinaMinaj December 19, 2012

Don’t bring Beyonce into this post. There is just no comparison.

Beyoncé at Glastonbury 2011 – review
Fireworks, slick choreography and all the hits – Beyoncé didn’t put a foot wrong during her Glastonbury headline set

Beyoncé’s headline slot has attracted none of the this-doesn’t-belong-at-Glastonbury controversy of her husband Jay-Z’s headline performance a few years ago, but there’s a definite sense of curiosity in the air before she takes the stage: what is the biggest R&B star in the world going to do? The immediate answer appears to be everything at once: let off fireworks, rise out of the stage on a hydraulic platform doing a choreographed dance routine while singing her biggest hit Crazy in Love.

It’s a pretty gobsmacking opening that leaves you wondering what she’s going to do next, but more gobsmacking still is that the show doesn’t sag afterwards. She hurtles into Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It). More fireworks. More dancing. Aside from a faintly baffling guest appearance by Tricky – who seems as confused by his arrival onstage as the audience – she never puts a foot wrong, rattling through Destiny’s Child hits and covers of Alanis Morisette’s You Oughta Know, Kings of Leon’s S** on Fire and Etta James’s At Last, the latter over footage of the civil rights movement and president Obama, the sheer visceral power of her voice chafing thrillingly against the slickness of the show.

Moreover, she engages with the festival itself – Halo is accompanied by footage of Glastonbury goers in the mud, which doesn’t make an enormous amount of sense but is at least a nice thought – and looks genuinely taken aback by the reception: “You are witnessing a dream! I always wanted to be a rock star!” she shouts, clearly utterly delighted. The noise the audience make in response suggests the feeling is entirely mutual.

Moreover, she looks genuinely taken aback by the reception: “You are witnessing a dream! I always wanted to be a rock star!” she shouts, utterly delighted. The audience response suggests the feeling is entirely mutual.

Whether or not you agree with Michael Eavis’s assessment that it was a “mistake” to book the Wombles for Glastonbury, it’s hard not to feel at least a little impressed by them before they even play a note of music. On its final day, Glastonbury is being blasted by pitiless sun: it’s a brave person who chooses to take to the stage dressed in a giant furry costume. Equally it’s hard not to be a little puzzled by their decision to open their set with their best-known hit, Remember You’re A Womble: when it finishes, alas, quite a lot of their audience chose to Womble off elsewhere.

Over on the Pyramid stage, Paul Simon plays a set studded with tracks from his sparkling, African-influenced 1986 album Graceland, which sounds oddly contemporary: there isn’t that much distance between it and Vampire Weekend. And it fits the atmosphere of a sunny afternoon on Pilton Farm.

He’s followed by Plan B, whose ascendency to pop fame is confirmed by the size of the crowd he draws. It’s hard to work out what’s more striking: the way he manages to project emotional fragility to such a huge audience, or the sight of said vast crowd cheerily singing along to Prayin’, a song about a prison murder. Either way, the sense that he’s a unique artist is heavily underlined.

Unique tone and style, can’t go wrong with that. Rihanna sucks to people but face the facts this is the woman Rita Ora is trying to clone. Clone her style but can’t clone Rihanna’s career. Not a chance. Lets give her 7 years. Rihanna has sold 37 million records and 146 digital tracks and she is not stopping. Rita Ora could never. I saw somebody talking about her getting buzz. LMAO All the buzz and still nobody knows who she is. During MOTS Rihanna didn’t have a big team behind her.

I asked my brother, “do you know who Rita Ora is?” He said, “Rita Who???” I said, “Rita Ora” He said, “NO”…………… Those were his exact words “Rita Who”

LMAO People think the Navy is worried about Rita Ora?? Because of Rihanna, Rita Ora is known by the Navy. The only reason I know her is because of Rihanna. People said that Rita Ora would crush Rihanna’s career and still no album release in the US. Rita has been seen every where. Rita has been promoting like crazy. People are still not checking, not even Katy Perry cares about this trick. She is forcing herself on people. Rita Ora desperately wants to be mentioned with Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Not even Beyoncé can save her career.

  28. ZIGGY STARDUST December 19, 2012

I think she did just fine. People don’t seem to understand, to be a “good” or “great” singer doesn’t require an artist to be a “belter” when they sing. That’s not everyone’s style. All of the riffing and carrying on doesn’t automatically make someone a better singer. It’s just a different style of singing. That’s all. Nothing more, nothing less. If every artist had sung the same way, then people would be complaining saying, “Everybody sounds the same”. So, you need variety. To be honest with you, all of that yelling, screaming and riffing actually can take away from an artists singing ability, in my opinion. It sounds like their trying too hard to prove that they can sing. Some people like that style, and some don’t. But. I think she did pretty good.

rihanna is a total fake b**** waste of space in the music industry. there are girls out their who can sing, dance, dress themself and generally THINK FOR THEIR SELF. and shes squashing everyones chances by theiving all their ideas.

she ripped off MJ’s thriller video, and dresses like him

she stole lady gaga’s living art style (and Gaga’s thing about bragging about m***********)

she says of herself “we’re artists. were the f****** craziest people around” wtf?? WHAT. THE. FUCCCK?

lily allen and lindsay lohan get a tatto of shh… on their fingers and a few days later rihanna gets exactly the same.

URGH the tattoos!! all her tatts are of stars and writing – hardly original, and star tatts were in fashion a couple of years ago after kate moss and loooads of other fashionistas got them.

the most annoying thing though is this whole fake “hard girl” persona jayz spending a fortune cultivating. i mean spreading rumours about her getting with JT? and her people being scared of her? shes just a timid little girl. funny how katy perrys never seen with her since she let the world know rihannas sweet “like a kitten”

It was good, nothing impressive but still good. Love the arrangements, the stage, she looked beautiful, I love her back up singers.

  42. JOHNVIDAL December 19, 2012

So wack! So much backing track for such a simple and slow pop song. I mean, please, this girl hasn´t any discernible talent apart from looking good

Rih, Rih,,,Old News But Still True,,,
While preening contemporaries search for movie roles, reality shows, or just plain “forget” to get fully dressed before a red carpet event, Rihanna’s approach is more honest and pragmatic. And that’s a welcome relief in our fame-obsessed times.,,

Sure, she was a spokesperson for CoverGirl and has made ads for Nike, not to mention that she hardly plays down her striking looks. Ultimately though, Rihanna makes music. She works hard. So when she describes herself as an “artist,” it is easy to see her as just that—a talented young singer who never seems to rest. (Her least favourite part of the music business? “Never getting a vacation,” she laughs.)

    Rih Old News But True,,,
This summer saw the release of her third album in three years, Good Girl Gone Bad. “I finally feel like I made an album that really reflects me,” she says. The record certainly represents a change for her, but not one that is nearly as drastic as the title might suggest. Rihanna is aiming for free-spirited rather than reckless abandon. “It’s not Good Girl Gone Wild,” she stressed while speaking at KIIS FM in LA. “It’s kinda rebellious. I don’t want to follow the same lane and do what people expect me to do.”

And expectations were certainly high after 2006’s “SOS” was one of a small crop of singles to dominate the clubs last year. Paired with the bleep-bloop pop of Soft Cell’s well-loved 80’s anthem “Tainted Love,” “SOS” was the rare pseudo-remake that didn’t just piggyback lazily on the laurels of its tested backing track. Fun and thrilling of its own accord, it was a tough act to follow.

    Rih Old News But True,,,,
The happy news is that Rihanna’s next single, “Umbrella,” was even better. Driven by a lock-step hi-hat beat and a hypnotically ping-ponging chorus, the tune actually trumped “SOS,” its idiosyncratic “um-brella- ella-ella-eh-eh-eh” ricocheting across your mind like an errant dancehall tennis ball.

Her new album made great use of studio heavyweights such as Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, and the master of beat construction and production, Timbaland. It is a credit to her talent that, even though she’s surrounded by all these dominant musical personalities, listening to her sing “Umbrella” immediately reminds you of Rihanna’s home—Barbados.

Rih Old New , But True,,,
Rihanna’s early life is one that was both literally and figuratively miles removed from the world she now inhabits. She was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988 in the parish of Saint Michael, Barbados. Despite being close to the capital city of Bridgetown, as a young girl she had no reason to expect that the music world would come calling. It was only a happenstance meeting that led to her eventual signing with one of the most influential men in hip hop, the somewhat retired Jay-Z. Up until that point, she was most famous for being her high school’s beauty pageant winner (she sang Mariah Carey’s “Hero” to win the contest).

  49. Lax December 19, 2012

    Rih,,,,
But as Rihanna herself says, “I’ve always been passionate about music.” Perhaps that’s all it took. Her ability to fuse reggae vocals with hip hop and R&B made her very appealing to Jay-Z and his label Def Jam. And Jay’s tutelage seems particularly important when it comes to her image. In short, like him, she seems in control. The album’s cover showed her confident and mature. Like most girls her age, regardless of their life station, Rihanna is confronting how to play her sexuality as she matures.

  50. Lax December 19, 2012

    Rih,,,
In the past, performers such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera (or Xtina as she was known at that time) opted for coming-out parties about as subtle as a hammer to the head. In the case of “S**** 4 U” or “Dirrty,” the singles were headlong charges into a world of adult playtime that ultimately swallowed each singer whole. Writhing and breathless, they lacked the very thing they tried so hard to cultivate—a s*** spark.

  51. Lax December 19, 2012

    Rih,,,,
When the video for “Umbrella” premiered, we were confronted with sequences of a naked Rihanna covered in silver body paint. The image is no doubt provocative, but it is less sexual than artful. Paired with the song’s message of steadfast friendship, the lasting impression is an iron strength—mature and feminine, but not tasteless.

  52. Lax December 19, 2012

    Rih,,,,,,
This narrow line is one that Rihanna hopes to be able to walk for some time to come. She’s no enigma, but she does deviate just enough from the 21st century-pop star-overexposed-norm to give you hope that her brightest days remain ahead of her. And that’s no small miracle.

  53. Fierce P**** December 19, 2012

In reply to ziggy star no not every singer is good at belting but Rihanna clearly tries to do things better singers do and simply is not strong enough in her abilities. (example: cracking, being flat) She gets better with practice but she’s never consistent. Hit or miss.

  54. joker December 19, 2012

one moment she looked like “ahh s***, they don’t buy my music anyway”. j/k

  55. Sierra December 19, 2012

That hair and outfit looks gorgeous. Reminds me of GGGB delux edition era lol she looks great. (take a bow and disturbia )

Now Rihanna has a voice and I do have her songs but her performances could be way better in my opinion. Its like come on girl i know you can do it lol but hey …make that money.

But anywho I hope she sticks to this hair style more often gives her that sophisticated look which i adore . Well moving on 🙂

  56. Carmen December 19, 2012

So she is on a show called THE VOICE of course shes gonna ensure she sounds decent lol. Was still nothing mindblowing considering she relied largely on a backing track!

  57. zzzzzg December 19, 2012

You tired a** haters are boring. Yall been saying the same thing since GGGB. Rihanna getting paid to show up and sing. Deep down inside yall know Rihanna can sing. She wouldn’t even be able to pull off a song like Diamonds if she had no talent. Talented, innovative, beauty, and trendsetter all in one.

    • Mariah!!!! December 19, 2012

Rihanna can sing. So can my 82 year old grandmother. Doesn’t make it good. Fact is in comparison to other singers out there she is S***!

  58. Auntie_Jackie December 19, 2012

She avoided the notes she couldn’t hit, and the backing track did a bunch of the work.

    BYE.

  59. irene46 December 19, 2012

WHY are y’all so damn hateful? It speaks VOLUMES. This is an article complimenting the girl and all y’all can do is insult other people!

    Willow Smith? Really? She’s a f*cking child!

Shows the mentality Rihanna fans have… not surprisingly. You really get off by braggin about someone you don’t even know, huh? You’re even more pathetic than her.

Some of y’all must get paid to do this, leaving 50 damn comments EVERY time she is mentioned. For what?
