The Saturdays Announce Two New Albums; US & UK

Published: Monday 14th Jan 2013 by Sam

Brit stars The Saturdays may be making a beeline for the US charts with new E! show ‘Chasing The Saturdays’, but the ladies haven’t forgotten their UK roots.

Details the group’s new American and British albums below…

According to Digital Spy, Rochelle, Una, Vanessa and co will release a US EP on January 29th. Aptly christened ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ (after their reality show which debuts on January 20th), the set will feature new single ‘What About Us’ as well as four hits from their British catalogue.

On home soil, the Pop five-piece have revealed that their fourth full-length album is titled ‘The Chase’ and will also be lead by ‘What About Us’ (a tweaked version featuring Sean Paul) – due out digitally on March 17th. The LP is expected later this Spring.

*************

The introductory EP for the US market is a particularly wise of decision. For, throwing out a traditional release on the back of a show that isn’t (yet) a hit would ultimately be setting them up for failure. What’s more, the EP allows their “storyline” for the next season of the show (should there be one) to revolve around recording an album. Just thinking out aloud…

Anyway, check out the ladies video for ‘What About Us’ below…

Reads like these Hot Numbers mean Business and that is how you
    do it., if you can.

Why are these record labels insisting on trying to find a British Girl Group to replace the ‘Spice Girls’. IT WILL NEVER F****** HAPPEN.

The SugagBabes are the only ones who come RELATIVELY close and even they never got that chance.

    Anyway = FLOP!!!!!!!

They have a new show on E!

LOVE The Sats and I wish them all the luck in the world.
As I said before this is a girlgroup where the chemistry with each other doesn’t seem fake. They look like real genuine friends with the same ambition. Not a group where one wants to be the lead singer/solo star.

What about us is a great tune, hope they get the succes they deserve

Are you joking? Vanessa wants to be the solo star completely (the one in the middle) she sings the majority of all the songs

      • LaLaLoo January 15, 2013

I dont think that’s her choice but the producers. She clearly has the strongest vocal chops. The producers would be stupid not to prefer using her more in the songs.

But when it comes to the group as a whole no one wants to stand out more than the other. They fulfill each other. They are a solid girl group, without big ego’s.
