New Song: Cherish – ‘Going In Circles’

Published: Tuesday 5th Mar 2013 by Sam

Cherish are back!

As reported, the sister quad have reformed after a four-year hiatus. This week brought with it ‘Going In Circles’ – their first offering from their independently funded chart return.

With the industry being so radically different to the R&B-friendly climate they achieved the bulk of their success in, are Fallon, Farrah, Felisha, and Neosha packing heat enough to scorch in today’s age? The answer awaits below…

Though not a track that screams “comeback”, ‘Circles’ marks a solid re-start for the ladies.

Yes, it sounds like it would have smashed in 2007, yet it still does a decent job of selling their super-tight harmonies, as well as the tonal quality of the lead vocalist(s). We like.

I love cherish and am happy they are making a comeback. But this is super weak. I want some “Chevy” “I aint trippin” heavy bass grindin music from them.

  3. You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

NO Ma’am!!!! where’s the growth? this sounds like an unreleased track off their LAST last album.

    • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

      • You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

      • You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

    • You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

      They’re Still Goin’ In Circles!

  4. CHUDDS March 5, 2013

The song kinda falls flat. It really feels like there’s no climax…and speaking of which, the beat REMINDS me of “Climax” soooo much. Is it just me? They could’ve done more with the beat because it’s hot….

  5. Eye Candy March 5, 2013

    This sounds extreeeeemely dated.
They should’ve chosen a stronger track as a first single, especially since they’re trying to make a comeback after like 6 yrs.

  6. Monstarebel March 5, 2013

Yaaaaas i love it!!! Welcome back b****** you were truly missed by me their last album the truth was so good hopefully this next album slays xoxo

    • Eye Candy March 5, 2013

Stop lying. This sh*t is wack gurl.

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

I honestly like it maybe because i smoked a blunt before i listen to it & everything sounds better when your high lol

      • Eye Candy March 5, 2013

That must be the one & only reason you think this song is poppin’ right now, I wanna know if you will still feel the same way about it when you’re not high.

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

Lol we will see boo but i do need them to release a dance track & slay but i have a feeling they will flop 🙁

    • CHUDDS March 5, 2013

How do you like this weak s***, but diss Fantasia?

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

i don’t have time for fantasia & them granny vocals on these tired ass songs hun

  7. Monstarebel March 5, 2013

They need to kick the tall ugly dark girl out she just kills their whole image

    • You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

Yeah, tell your sister she’s out of the group because she looks a mess and its not good for their image, smh

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

Lol Yea thats right…. does she even provide any vocals for any tracks? hmmmm doubt it

    • You Wanna Bey Me March 5, 2013

I know, but was it alright for pussycat dolls to keep everyone? we all know Nicole sang all of the vocals, but since they’re all gorgeous they get a pass? all im saying is that it should apply to everyone, not just the “Facially Challenged” if you’re not putting in the work, BYE!

      • Monstarebel March 5, 2013

You right!!! If someone doesn’t vocally contribute to the group they shouldn’t be in the group point black period…..

      • THEPINKPRINT (FAF) March 5, 2013

They’re all sisters, the darker one (Neosha) sings the low notes

  8. Drew March 5, 2013

I really like Cherish & this song. There songs always have a message behind it. ‘Going In Circles’ will be available for download on March 8,2013. And on March 15, 2013, Cherish will release another new song called, ‘Get That Boy’. I wish Neosha & Farrah would sing lead vocals more often. Cherish is no longer on a major record label Capital Records as they are now going the independent route.

  9. eric March 5, 2013

They can do better, but it’s not bad. No worries.

  10. Cream March 5, 2013

they should only keep the middle ones and kick the other two out. there is hope for the one in the shorts though, she needs to lose weight and act feminine. as for the other one she should just bleach her skin and get facial surgeries to make her manly face feminine.

    THAT is All.

    • Kyle March 5, 2013

The middle ones are twins Fallon and Felisha. They tried to find success as a duo but failed to gain any attention so now they are back with the other two sisters. As for the comment about the sister on the far right, that’s just mean. She’s a pretty girl. You seem pretty judgemental. Post a picture of yourself and we’ll critique your lame ass. Thanks!

    • swatposs March 6, 2013

be quiet racist. your life must suck!

  11. Music March 5, 2013

Hopefully it’s a BUZZ single. It’s not a bad song but the 1st single should ALWAYS be something catchy that your audience can sing-a-long to in the mirror of their bedroom while they’re getting dressed or riding down the highway.

  12. NΛVI March 5, 2013

    who are these people?

  13. Kyle March 5, 2013

I’m not a fan of this song but it’s at least nice to see them trying to make a comeback. I hope they keep pushing and release new music this year. I always liked them and thought they made a great R&B group.

  14. M3 March 5, 2013

I don’t know what I was expecting, but for a comeback I wasn’t impressed. I’ve been a Cherish fan since their single with Da Brat and I still listen to their albums to this day. I think this single is them picking up where they left off when they should’ve jumped on a new train. Keep the R&B, but give fans that have grown with them grown up music.

  15. Kutlo March 6, 2013

    Love it! its different.

  16. JER March 6, 2013

giving me C-error T’s. Very dated indeed. However some of yal stans need to humble yourselves, because like others said, if this was YOUR fave you’d cry smash. Ch…

  17. Kev March 6, 2013

Im a big fan of Cherish but this song was just hittin. I like the lil falsetto parts but over all it just wasnt exciting enough. N what happen to their vocals? They use to go off

  18. idc March 6, 2013

Ya’ll say its to dated now… but everyone talks about how they want R&B made like it use to be… so WHAT YA’LL WANT?!!?!?!?

    • Elvick March 15, 2013

      People just want to complain.

They won’t ever be happy. So let them hate.

This song is my ish. I love it. I’m glad it doesn’t fall prey to sounding like the standards of today, because the standards of today suck. (still good R&B around, but most of it doesn’t use the s***** overproduced b/s we hear in 99% of everything now)

  19. swatposs March 6, 2013

agree with IDC! F all the haters on here, Cherish is back!!
the HATERS are just scared real music is on its way back so they cant do their wack wannabe-popstar self-written AND produced garbage out of their basements!

do your thing Cherish, we love you guys and are glad you are back to show that talent matters!
