The ‘Ciara’ plot thickens.
For, despite ‘Overdose’ and ‘Where You Go’ being confirmed as the next singles to be lifted from the eponymous LP, it appears the renown stage blazer is heading in another direction.

Interesting.
We’re entirely here for this replacing ‘Where You Go’, although we hope the change hasn’t displaced the still-sublime ‘Overdose’ from receiving a Mainstream radio roll-out. Because the shying away from the obvious hit has plagued one too many CiCi projects for it to be allowed to happen again (see: ‘Turn It Up (ft. Usher)’ from ‘Basic Instinct’ + ‘Tell Me What Your Name Is’ from ‘Fantasy Ride’).
In any case, we’ll be watching closely to see how this plays out. For now, though, take a listen to ‘Read My Lips’ below…

Well I’m glad she’s no longer releasing Where You Go. Despite it being one of my faves of fhe album it’s not single material. Read My Lips is definitely a Urban/Pop crossover hit that way she can follow up with DUI and Overdose. Hopefully Epic handles the release properly, meaning a simultaneously digital/radio/video release on top of multiple live TV performances plus an advertisement commercial for a lipstick.

This is no longer the MTV Trl movement anymore, but other tv networks have things on so artists could promote their music on. There’s AXS tv, diddly coming with Revolt tv, MTV now has Nikki & Sara live and they’ve been having musical guest lately. I bought the album on iTunes. I was surprised by how well-produced it was…it sounded very “expensive” whereas with a lot of other artists recently have been releasing songs that just sound more…amateurish, I guess. Kind of like how the Gaga song is a “good song” but the way it’s produced, it just sounds messy. Some Rihanna songs I love also have this “messy” production where it just doesn’t seem finished, like rushed or something.
How does Ciara get so many chances to FLOP? She gets big budgets but brings in no money
I am glad that Read My Lips is her next single. Where you go song wasn’t that great. Overdose song is alright. She can do Overdose as her next single after Read my lips. Ciara could of at least put Sorry and Got Me Good on her album as well. Livin it up is the best single on her album too. If she was planning to do Livin it up as one of her singles very soon.
