As the X Factor UK watches its Season 10 winner James Arthur head to international acclaim, his one time rival Ella Henderson whips up a buzz of her very own today, releasing a phenomenal cover of Drake‘s Platinum single ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home.’

Featuring a dash of John Newman‘s ‘Love Me Again’, the cover comes as the star readies the release of her Salaam Remi assisted debut album, featuring the budding smash ‘Five Tattoos’.

She seems very different on the photograph you chose, I don’t recognize her.
Apart from that, she has an incredible voice but the ‘Hold on we’re going home’ doesn’t fit her IMO.
From the John Newman part, it’s gorgeous.

^I don’t care what anyone says but that is not a picture of Ella Henderson lol whoever that white girl is it needs to be changed cos no way in hell is that her!

That said Ella has a great voice but this did not work at all, in fact it was unlistenable IMO. There’s nothing wrong with showing diversity but I don’t get the trend of covering songs you don’t even listen to yourself. It just comes off as try hard. Sorry to be so harsh but I’d rather hear the lane she’s actually in than her constant covers of Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah and Drake material purely in order to secure some urban appeal by proxy that she wouldn’t have otherwise.
