Is everyone aware that iTunes album pre-orders affect singles positions? Everytime someone pre-ordered Artpop -Applause was credited with a single’s sale. Same for Do What U Want, and next week with Venus, and after that the next promo single.
Once the album is released, all of the singles “sales” will be deducted and instantly become album purchases through the complete-my-album feature. What this means is that Applause has been BUOYED all along by the pre-sales of the album. This is also why Do What U Want appeared to have strong sales from the start, but in reality, those were just the automatic downloads for people who had pre-ordered the album. In other words, next to nobody actually purchased the song as a single.
Watch and see when Venus blasts off on iTunes exactly the same as Do What U Want did, even without a single person buying it. And, the following promo single, rumored to be Dope, is also guaranteed to make a big splash on iTunes. It’s already “in the bag”. Afterwards, she will act all surprised by the “overwhelming” response to the tracks, even though it has absolutely NOTHING to do with actual single’s purchases…
Now, Gaga isn’t the only one who gets to take advantage of the ridiculous policy. Katy Perry’s album pre-sales also enhanced Roar and her two promo singles. The difference, of course, is that Roar would’ve been a huge hit even without the assist, whereas Applause has literally been kept afloat by the iTunes albums pre-sales. and would have vanished from the top a long, long time ago without them.

First and foremost all of u need to learn about th music industry every artists have about 5 to 8 ppl on their credits… That doesn’t mean that they all wrote the songs, some people wrote the actual music part, there are ppl who help contribute just cause someone is the producer doesn’t always means they make the beat the just mix all the ingredients all together to make the songs…some ppl are the engineers and some are the background singers… The all get credit that’s how they get paid… I find it funny how ppl are trying to said that Rihanna is a songwriter when her biggest hot to date “Umbrella” was actual written for Mary J Blige (Google and The dream, who wrote the song said it him self) irreplaceable was written for a country singer but they turn it down and Beyoncé got it… A lot of Justin’s and Usher early work were all for Micheal Jackson but he turn the down so as u can see not everyone writes their own material all 50% of the time just case there are 8 ppl listed on songwriter credit doesn’t mean the artists can’t write… There is a lot of work, production and ppl to make these songs that we dance to… Some songs are also samples too so the original artists is also listed on the song credits… So before having these STAN wars please learn your fact and the funny thing is a lot of these artists that u STAN for and go against the actual like each other music and respect there work ethic for example Ciara is a huge Beyonce STAN, and love and respect her and Beyonce said herself (around Bday era when she was on 106&park..and yes it is on YouTube ) that she likes and respect Ciara so let’s stop this cause you all are making your fave look bad… Enjoy their music and that is all if u are not checking for a certain artists then don’t waste engery having hate towards them cause at the end of the day they are living their dreams and other ppl like them….
