The ‘ARTPOP’ promotional train made a major stop at the BBC’s Graham Norton Show last night.
Filmed during the Pop titan’s recent press tour of the UK, the spot saw Mother Monster unleash two performances; the first a live rendition of new single ‘Do What U Want’ (featuring an all-new verse) and the second ‘Venus’.

Hmmm.
Though keen appreciators of GaGa’s talent, it’s also important to keep it all the way real. The performances were “okay” at best.
Save for the teasing of a new solo verse in ‘Do What U Want’ (which we envision will be released in some capacity during the album’s campaign), there wasn’t much of anything going on in either performance — fairly uncharacteristic for a “GaGa” showing.
‘Venus’ remained the muddled mess is was during her X Factor showing, while ‘What U Want’ served up powerful, yet questionable vocals. What’s more, why the latter is receiving the stripped-down, no-theatrics treatment when it’s THE single confuses us in earnest. It’s a dancefloor jam and should be presented as such.
Given the “hectic” that has been the launch of the project, we’re tempted to give GaGa a pass. However, we’re going to need her and her Haus to snatch themselves together with the quickness. Because these so-so showings and the (lack of) thought behind them is starting to alarm. Harsh sounding perhaps, but it’s Steffani’s cross to bear. When you establish such lofty levels of slayage, it’s your task to consistently top it…or at least hit that mark….each and every time.
Here’s hoping the weeks ahead bring with it the GaGa that beasted this year’s VMA’s.

I heard the album and its very blah especially if you play it all the way thru. It all sounds like 1 song. Lyrics are basic and lacks poetry. There are many references to being naked and things in that family. Not creative or ARTISTIC at all. The album is a carbon copy of other artist sounds.
Too bad this happens so early im her career.

I just bought Celine´s “Loved me back to Life” album today. So happy with it. And I´m ready for Artpop next week. Buying it for sure. I´ve only bought 4 physical copies this year. Gaga´s will be the 5th. At the end of the day I´m sure most of you don´t buy any albums at all, but still spend your lives stanning and hating. I admit I download a few songs I like from many other albums, but when the album or talent is complete from start to finish I just buy. I like to support real talent on mainstream cos it is dying honey. I mean “who the hell wants a Katy Perry album?” *in my Linda Perry voice*

“Prism” has some really great songs, to make it short,try the ones at the end @johnvidal, like “Ghost, Love me, By The Grace of God, etc…” her lyrics are amazingly impressive in my opinion.

Couldn´t wait till next week like I told you 🙂 Except for the NeYo song, which is generic as hell, the album is really great. Better than Taking Chances in my opinion. That one had a few fillers I didn´t enjoy. The 13 songs on this one are great. Vocals for years (as always). Really great.

Becuase she doesn´t even try and is focused on her family since 2000. Plus she went #1 on itunes albums charts in 31 countries anyway, that´s being SUCCESSFUL. Not in the USA this time, but she has a big worldwide fan base. She´ll be more than ok since last year she sold like a million copies in France, Canada and Belgium alone from a f****** French album.

Well the problem with GaGa is she is insecure. She is elibrately being sloppy with performances because she thinks she can get away with it! She is trying to do a ‘MILEY CRYUS’ on us. The only problem with that is, Miley and GaGa are two different artists. GaGa has slayed us time and time again, and Miley is much younger. So tbh, I expected GaGa to slay like her fame era, because ArtPop sounds like a futuristic version of the Fame era, and even better tbh!
