Kelly has 2 Grammy’s outside of DC and 3 with Destinys child. When Love Takes Over (2010) & Dilemma (2003). She is a 5 time Grammy Award winning artist and she was nominated in 2011 for best r&b/hiphop duo song with her 2011 hit “Motivation” that went double platinum! That same year she won an American music Award for Motivation as well as 2 Soul Train Awards. I would like to know when was the last time we had an r&b artist besides Rhi, Bey & Alicia to sell 2 million singles and top the charts for 7 weeks straight… u gotta give Kelly sum credit… for about 2 yrs 2010 to 2011 no r&b female was being represented or present on the scene besides Kelly! Kelly’s success in 2011 inspired the likes of Brandy and Ciara to even make a come back into the musical spotlight! U ppl actually hate her for actually doing better then some of those same women she inspired to go back after their dreams… stop blaming her for her record sales! It’s not her fault it’s her fans fault for not supporting… & it doesn’t help that r&b albums are not selling well these days… she can only do so much! & don’t give me tht Tamar excuse!
