Pop diva Jennifer Lopez teams up with music maestro Max Martin for new single ‘First Love’.
The sun-kissed Summer jam (which is now available on iTunes) is the latest to be lifted from the star’s 10th studio album, which arrives on June 17th.
Interestingly, preceding effort ‘I Luh Ya Papi’ was never sent to radio (despite a solid start on iTunes), yet after one spin of ‘Love’ its clear the cut has been crafted especially for the airwaves.

With a whole year having passed since J.Lo debuted initial lead single ‘Live It Up’, ‘Love’ easily serves as the most commercial effort of the tracks she’s released since then.
A Pop buffet if we’re ever heard one, the track packs all the key components of a mainstream hit – a catchy set of hooks, ample repetition, and a call-and-repeat bridge.
Lyrically, though, the cut leaves much to be desired – especially its chorus which quite literally spells out the obvious (“I wish were my first love, because if you first there’d never have been no second, third or fourth love”. Well, duh.
Still, a solid effort. Whether it’ll translate into a hit will be interesting to see.

The 1st listen was horrid! The 2nd was bad. The 3rd was ok. The 4th was good. The 5th was great. The 6th was AMAZING! Another catchy J.Lo song.
Sounds pretty good! Ready to hear the real version and hope she does a dope performance on Idol finale.
Side Note: So relieved this is not “featuring Pitbull”.
