After Syleena Johnson‘s woeful weigh in and news of a Change.org petition to comb Blue Ivy‘s hair went viral, India.Arie says “enough is enough” – at least as it relates to people’s constant jabs to Beyonce‘s famous toddler’s locks.
Taking to Twitter to pen an open letter slamming critics who have lent negative comments about the child, the ‘I Am Not My Hair’ hitmaker was so upset that she assembled a fiery collection of words to scold fellow celebs and fans alike on the topic.
Her damning words below:

Why does ANYone get the idea that its ok to make fun of a child?
In public no less?
This celebrity culture that hypnotizes people into thinking a person is LITERALLY NOT REAL because you see them on television is a spell the watcher HIM or HER SELF MUST BREAK.
Blue Ivy — is a CHILD.
and ANYONE thinking to themselves right now:

Denying ANY PERSON their humanity , is a GAME we should ALL stop playing.
WHY?

I think! all these people making negative comments would feel the SAME WAY if Blue Ivy’s hair were TOO DONE. If she had a relaxer, of Hair pulled too tight at the edges.

I like India Arie but this is bulls-h-i-t! No one seems to get it. This girl doesn’t need a perm, weave, or any other hairstyles that will break off her hair to look decent. All people are saying is comb it. Not combing it will do more damage than some may think. When you’re BLACK and don’t comb your hair it will become dry and matted and guess what it becomes brittle and will start to break. So pleaaaase stop with this “she’s a child” crap! She’s a black child, she needs grease or some type of protective ingredient in her hair to give it moisture. Plain and simple. Plus this is the time you should comb a child’s hair so they won’t be tender headed. My mom took care of my hair that way and to this day it’s thick, long, and no heat damage. I’m all natural never once got a chemical put in my hair. Blu Ivy might as well have a perm b/c her hair will be in such a tangled mess over the years that her only option will be dreads or to chop it off.
