‘Who’s that girl?’ is a question many may have asked this time last month. But, thanks to the likes of Lifetime’s potentially derailed biopic of late R&B songstress Aaliyah, the name Zendaya Coleman is starting to ring a few bells.
The former Disney Darling may see her name atop headlines for her opposed portrayal of the R&B princess, but now – thanks to the Queen of Pop – Coleman’s name will line the web for another reason.
Taking to social media, Madonna broke news today that the 17-year-old singer/actress will be the face of her and daughter Lola’s ‘Material Girl’ fashion line. Once represented by ‘R.I.P.’ performer Rita Ora, the line’s designs are inspired by Madge’s 80s punk chic and are specifically targeted to teenage girl.
The news surfaces as Zendaya’s portrayal of Aaliyah via a recently announced Lifetime movie remains in question. As of time reporting, the latest development saw the ‘More Than A Woman’ singer’s family threaten legal action to prevent the film from production. Read more on that here.
