After ‘Hits Daily Double’ reported that the album had opened at the 251,000 units mark, ‘Billboard’ revealed that the project had in fact shifted 244,000 units, extending her lead as the only female rapper to open with no less than 200,000 units with three albums consecutively.
Now, as her Hip Hop bop ‘Only’ cruises towards US sales of 400,000 units, the last week has seen ‘The Pinkprint‘ move 104,000 units in the US alone.
Now sat at #2, the album’s second week sales figure is set to rise when streams are thrown into the mix.
Fortunately for Minaj, ‘Pink’ can now be expected to reach Gold status within the first eight weeks of its release, likely to reach the milestone within this period even if streams weren’t coupled with traditional purchases set to take it there.
The queen would still reach gold even if streams weren’t counted! The worldwide sale will pick up soon too

Obviously Nicki is big outside of the U.S and people outside the U.S probably know that she has a new album out but the GP are not aware of the substantial material the album comprises of because they are not exposed to it through live performances n such.
