New year, new music.

Keen to get his year started with a sonic bang, Kanye West releases the brand new song ‘Only One’ today, doing so with a little help from its featured act Paul McCartney.

The song is a tribute to the performer’s daughter North West, and drops before the release of his hotly-anticipated new album, the follow-up to the polarising ‘Yeezus.’

Check it out below!

Pleasant at first and then it just went all over the place, my ears started to hurt. This guy just tries too hard to be avant garde.

kanye, gaga, will.i.am and some others lose my respect simply because instead of just being they always trying so hard to be.

It’s actually pretty good. I want to see the route that he’s going for this album.

It’ll sound better on the album, cause it feels kinda random right now…takes a few listens though…the chorus is obviously the best part…the song is from his mother’s perspective, for those who don’t know…he said it felt like his mother was speaking through him, that’s beautiful…

I’m so excited about Iggy’s next album, I hope its really personal, a critical acclaim. She has the potential to do that. She needs to explore her Miami side when she was 16 also work on her flow & she needs to nail her wordplay.

Yaaaas, hopefully she has a couple songs with that Rick Rubin/Beastie Boys feel…maybe a hip hop ballad like LL Cool J or Foxy Brown makes…put some 80’s Madonna/Blondie type stuff on there…and I agree, get the flow and wordplay tighter…Happy New Year!

I like it! Kanye’s not the best singer, but I still love the feeling in the song.

Rosie, I went to twitter and I saw them preparing a dregfest for you , led by that ancient evil h** slayriah
    .
I will join forces with you whenever it happens, I got your back like you got beyhive’s

Mess at them not even having the nerve to prepare it on this site, knowing I don’t go in stan Twitter.
My impact on these gays is so real.

    Autotune

  13. Rosie January 1, 2015

I really like it. Even with all the autotune it’s still heartfelt and simple.
Everyone complaining about how avant-garde or try-hard it is was obviously was listening to the wrong song.

  14. LB January 1, 2015

I love it, I am ready when you are Yeezy

  15. I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 1, 2015

The level of creativity is so high. I like it. It’s also heartfelt. Kanye never disappoints.

  16. Mark111 January 1, 2015

How do you sound like crap with auto tune? Someone call T Pain so he can give Ye and others lessons. Beatle man is not going to help you, it’s clear that Kanye does thing to make him seems more than he is. You’re a great hip hop artist, stop trying so damn hard trying things like this just so you can say “I had (enter white artist name here) on a track.”
