Timbaland has enjoyed epic success over the course of his illustrious career, as such it’s fitting that the seasoned hit vendor has signed a lucrative new deal with L.A Reid’s Epic Records.

Full story below…

Billboard reports that the producer is packing up his Mosley Music Group imprint from its home of 10 years (Interscope) and setting up shop at Reid’s Sony based haven.

MMG CEO Monique Idlett Mosley (Timbo’s wife) revealed that star’s close collaboration with Reid on Michael Jackson ‘Xscape’ album got the ball rolling. She went on to explan:

“We found these two amazing female Urban artists and felt Epic was a great place for a fresh start. Both L.A. and Timbaland have a passion for this music and understand each other from a business perspective.”

Per the terms of the new partnership, Epic will reportedly provide marketing, press, distribution and all other major label services for the imprint. Upcoming releases from the venture include rapper Tink and Urban-Pop act V. Bozeman.

No word on whether the deal will see Timbo have a hand in the projects of Epic’s main roster (which includes Ciara, Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor, and Tamar Braxton), but we’d bet there’s a very strong chance.

Epic Records is awful, they don’t know how to market their artists.
Timbaland too talented to be on that label.

Ciara should NOT be selling 60k with a 10 year career.
Anyway, hope he does well over there n makes his dough.

What does this mean for keri hilson? I’ve been waiting for new music from her.

Keri is signed to Zone 4 which is Polow da Don’s imprint over at Interscope. Mosley handled some of the production on her album but has been less and less involved each album. Simple really, as KeKeri was signed to interscope it’s likely that she’ll stay there through the Zone 4 imprint. Tbh neither Epic nor Interscope are doing well – both are suffering from growing pains and severe restructuring.

Keri Hilson is/was signed to Zone 4 and MMG a joint venture through Interscope. As a matter of fact she is still listed on the Artist page at MMG website.

Im pretty surge she was signed to BOTH MMG and Z4I via Interscope. But Nelly Furtado and OneRepublic were MMG via Interscope I wonder where they stand now probably with IGA still hmmmmm. Least 1R, I could see Nelly F. get dropped.

@MusicMatters101 Tim said on his Power105 interview Nelly isn’t doing music anymore. She wants to be a fulltime Mom.

He was the ‘IT’ producer around the time when Fergie and Gwen were both ruling the charts with their solo debuts.
