Laced over an advertisement for NCAA’s March Madness (which airs March 17th), the song features in the 30 second spot which also sees the star “performing”.

I really don’t know what to think of this era so far. I’m not saying that to mean anything negative. It’s just that after a first single from any Rihanna album, you usually have certain expectations. This era feels risky, and again, that’s not necessarily in a good way. What I expected from Rihanna was her to score #1 singles over the next 5 – 7 years (to be precise). I think she can easily obtain about 18/19 in total; however, there’s a shift taking place this era. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not dooming her either! What I’m saying is that depending on what she brings to the table with R8, she’s either going to slow herself down or take off and breathe new life into her artistry for this era… and the one that follows.

Dancing in the dark and towards the sun are for a kids movie on a separate soundtrack. Hardly the album you want to go off of. Towards the sun is genius! To be perfectly honest, this MIGHT end up being the first Rihanna album I will purchase. It only took 10 years (LOL) but she is finally starting to impress me.
I’m not feeling this song (American Oxygen)at all but I do like FFS. I wasn’t sure about Higher at first, but after listening to the snippet a couple more times, I love it already without even hearing the song in it’s entirety.
I can’t wait to hear more from her and the full songs. I don’t care for this song but I do want to hear Higher.
