This year has seen many a Rihanna fan take to social media to demand information on the whereabouts of her new album.
Fortunately, it’s supposed delay seems to have done very little to curtail interest in the project.

This morning we took to the social media analytics site Topsy to see just how interested the general public were in the star’s eighth studio album.
The results were impressive to say the least.
Should search for the album’s current tile ‘R8’ on the service they’d find that it has been mentioned now fewer than 3,000 times per day on Twitter alone since April 15th.
Since then, ‘R8’ has been discussed 170,210 times on Twitter alone, and crosses the half a million mark when stats from Facebook are thrown into the mix.
So, how are the album’s singles faring on Twitter? Even better.
Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the album’s lead single ‘FourFiveSeconds.’
