For Jordin Sparks it’s been a long, rocky road to the release of new album ‘Right Here Right Now.’
Yet, as the project’s title triumphantly declares, now really is the time for the American Idol alumni.
With the project officially out, the 25-year-old took to the Today Show’s Toyota Summer Concert Series to perform current single ‘They Don’t Give.’

Great vocals, great presence, great performance.
Sales-wise, it’s not looking all that good for Ms. Sparks. However, if there’s one positive from this “era” is that she really seems to have come into her own both sonically and as a performer. Hopefully this will serve as a springboard to better things moving forward.
What is she expected to sell 1st week? I can’t find it.

This girl has a great voice but her level of material never matches the greatness in those vocal chords. Its like Mariah and Whitney had great material. Learn from them.
Thank God she still got them vocals. So we can still hope for the best.
Jordin got the whole package and the likeable factor. She’s like Tia&Tamera meet Hilary Duff. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t like her yet most people just don’t care.
She needs a manager with a vision to guide her brand, since she doesn’t have enough drive to get there herself.
She needs great ballads, great duets and great live performances. We’re still waiting for “No air Part 2” by the way.
