Chris Brown rarely gets a fair rap from the media. However, there’s no denying his latest good deed.
With new album ‘Royalty’ set to land in stores on December 18th, the R&B chanteur has announced a unique pre-order incentive.
Details below…
To celebrate the LP’s pre-order availability, C. Breezy took to Instagram over the weekend to announce:
“The holidays are all about giving back, so this Christmas, from now until Christmas, if you order the album, pre-order the album, one dollar of every album sold will go to Children’s Miracle Network hospital. So please do your part. Give back!”
Kudos!
Beyond the mentioned charity angle, let’s be frank – this is a smart means of drumming up sales.
We’re all for it, though. The LP is titled after his 18-month old daughter and – despite enjoying much of the material we’ve heard thus far – we have been scratching our heads at the thematic tie-in between the project’s name and the music (see: ‘Liquor’ / ‘Back to Sleep’).
This family/charity focus certainly helps align things in ways the material doesn’t.
That’s nice of him, he hasn’t been in the media for a while (for negativity) and I hope it stays that way. His songs a bit reptitive but they sound nice so I might be purchasing this album.
His music is repetitive. Desperate for album sales TBH. He’s been giving us the same music for 6 years now.
He should be donating money to domestic violence shelters and awareness/prevention programs…
Tried…….????
TBH!!!
Great gesture unfortunately I don’t see the album selling 200k in total but anything is better than nothing
Very nice of you Chris. Most artist don’t even make a dollar for every album they sell and your giving $1 for each sold. Kudos
Thats gonna be some weak ass royalty checks but do you girl ?
Only id buy is if EVERY DOLLAR went to charity…
Uhhmmm, well OK Vanity Fair, tell us how you really feel

Poor thing desperate for album sales (sigh)
He’s trying. The public is just sick of his ish. He did this “I changed now” around an album release since Grufloppy.
Where’s Anti sis?
DEATH @ Mark111 paying you more dust than the Sahara desert
@Mark, is “Graffiti” gold yet? I have a feeling that it might be close with streaming accounted for.
“Royalty, my baby girl I’m dedicating this album to you and donating all proceeds to charity! Just to show how much I care my first single ‘liquor ‘ and second single ‘that heauxs p**** so juicy’ have all garnered funds to help the less fortunate….. Go me”…..

Lol
This is good. The media just doesn’t like him. He made “real” R&B with ‘Fortune’ and he got decimated for it. They even named ‘Don’t Judge Me’ one of the worst songs of 2012 which was rather confusing. He even wished he could leave the planet. That’s why he feels like he has to make this awful twerking guerilla booty music. I honestly wish him the best.
Death @ RIHBOLA stans teasing Chris & Monica on every post cuz they know they the only ones rih can beat in 1st week sales. Adele will be proped at #1 for the rest of the year both album & single chart while rihgoat scared to release another single much less announce a rihlease day… even adele clocked snippetanna… like”where dat album at doe?”
????? well gone right ahead and go in for the kill hahahaha
I commend him on this. I honestly do. However, let’s not act like this is just another desperate attempt for him to try to win the general public’s approval again. I’m here for him making a change and contributing some form of positivity, though.
Although I do t like him personally, I’m confused as to why “Liquor” isn’t receiving the same radio support as “Loyal” did last year. “Liquor” is clearly the better single and the instrumental/beat is hypnotizing and infectious. He needs to promote it more because it started off with a strong debut on the Hot 100.
That’s nice, hope the album at least goes gold.
when he says ‘do your part’ does he mean buy the album or that i should take my equivalent of ten us dollars and donate to charity?
nuff respect.
