Kanye West may be convinced his new LP is the “best album of all time,” but the rapper can’t seem to settle on a name that sticks.
For, the project – originally due last year – was initially christened ‘So Help Me God’ only to be newly baptized as ‘SWISH.’
Now, just two weeks before its elaborate global roll-out, the set has undergone another name change.

Granted it’s his artistic licence to name his music whatever he wants, it’s important that he digests the fact that it’s the material that matters most. The title, in many ways, is kinda inconsequential.
After delivering front-loaded sales with previous album ‘Yeezus’ (327k debut, 630k US total), Mr West certainly has his work cut out for him.
Is said pressure the cause of the sudden change or was Kanye trolling the whole time for some reason only he knows?!
Either way, ‘Waves’ arrives February 11th.

Man Yeezy this year has been a roller coaster. I think he changed the title, because it’s a different sound and project all together. I think SWISH was going to be a Yeezus 2.0 in terms of pushing the boundaries sonically and production as a whole. Whereas now, contingent on what he’s been releasing thus far, is a more stripped down, soulful Kanye that we all loved from the College Dropout days. Anyways, like I just said about Rihanna, this sh*t better be ???
