Whoever did the production did a good job. Anyone can make a catchy song, just look at Brit’s ‘Blackout’ album…. It was full of bangers produced by the Neptunes and Danjahandz, but the actual vocals were awful.
You think so? I think her vocals on “Gimme More” and “Freakshow” we’re Grammy worthy. Heck, even “Break the Ice” sounded pleasant to me. I don’t know. I guess it just depends on who’s listening, bit I’m sure we can agree that it’s one of her best albums, especially for a comeback album after she fell from grace so hard.
In my opinion the breathy vocals complimented the hardcore beats Danja was doing, but it was more of a party album and there wasn’t any ballads for her to showcase any vocal ability. It’s definitely one of her finer works, but I hated the Brunette wig she was rocking around that era. Mind you, I think she scalped herself … literally lol.
