There really wasn’t much room to improve on the original, but at least they tried to put a little something extra in this cover.
When this original was popular (only #2 behind the juggernaut that was Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You), I’m sure there were many people who got their friends together just so they could attempt to cover this song, lol. Pentatonix did I good job I guess and although I’m not familiar with Jason’s music outside his singles, this is the best I’ve ever heard him sing. His head voice always had an amazing ring to it.
