Fifth Harmony‘s ‘7/27 Tour’ is one of the hottest tickets this summer – and it just got hotter.

For, vocal powerhouse JoJo has just joined the US trek as the jaunt’s official opening act.

Details below…

Confirmation came courtesy of 5H’s Camila Cambello, who took to Twitter to share the following:

This is an amazing look all round.

There is ample crossover appeal with their respective audiences and, in specific regard to JoJo, she’ll be exposed to one of the most fervent fanbases today – the Harmonizers.

This should set up the campaign for her upcoming album awesomely.

As for what to expect, peep both acts’ performances on The Splash below…

Its sad that Jojo a star from 2003/4 has to open for noobs of 2010s from a TV show. Such a shame that her career did not prosper as it could have. Whether it some her part, some label, etc. What a waste of something that could have least been more prominent. Luckily for her she is still young and like mid 20s that she can still make it big, but she needs to come out major like yesterday and certainly this year. IDK what she was thinking going a Pop Rock power ballad with “Disaster.” She needs Pop R&B music or maybe Pop Dance for a comeback, then some R&B Soul music. Something with soul, perhaps Hip Hop Soul would be good for her.

That girl can sing. I’m just happy she’s getting work cos her former label did her dirty.
Get Out, This Time, Too Little Too Late, Not That Kinda Girl, Baby It’s You (feat Bow Wow), How To Touch A Girl — I mean, this girl had gems!!!

Jojo can out sing 5H though

This industry sure is a shady and fickle one. One day you’re on top and the next, it’s almost like you’re back at square one. It’s sad the way JoJo’s career was stifled by Blackground and how they held her hostage for years. It’s going to be quite odd for fans of 5H to see an opener whom they probably weren’t even born when she was at the height of her popularity. I’m just happy to see her getting work at the end of the day. 5H should be honored to have a vocalist as gifted in their circle.

I love me some JoJo y’all need to be realistic here. JoJo opening for 5H, as backwards as it sounds to us whoever have grown up with her, is actually beneficial for JoJo in 2016. In a market and industry where 5H has millions of young fans, young fans who generally control the industry with their consumerism, it’s smart to expose JoJo to that market so she can be exposed to the younger generation that would otherwise know she is as artist, yet alone buy her music. So regardless of how it looks, this is good for her. Go ‘head JoJo. Rooting for you

Always rooting for Jojo, her voice is sick…still obsessed with the tringles. All of em. As for opening for 5H, it is what it is but I hope these lil side chicks know she is Queen and should bow down cuz Jojo run circles vocally around all of em

I think this is a great move although it seems backwards. I’m glad she is gonna be on a tour that will put her in front of thousands of young music lovers who will definitely fall in love with her. And we all know that she will slay and outsing every member of 5H. lol

I love Jojo but I would not pay to see Fifth Harmony. I’m glad she’s making headway and cannot wait until she’s big enough to have her own big tour. I loved seeing her in Portland, OR this year!
