The Voice continues its tried and true tradition of re-shuffling its list of active coaches.

Head below where full disclosure is given on just who will be sitting in the famed red chairs next year…and when.

Moments ago, NBC confirmed that Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will return for their 12th consecutive season next spring.

Gwen Stefani, who earned praise for her stints in cycles 7 and 9, will appear alongside the show’s staples, as will Alicia Keys who made her debut during the current season.

That line-up will impact screens from February 2017.

Miley Cyrus will also be back in the mix, but for the 2017 Fall season – which premieres in September. And though it’s unknown who’ll be sitting beside her, the news confirms that The Voice is renewed right the way through the end of next year.

Speaking on the confirmed panels, Paul Telegdy NBC’s President of Alternative & Reality Entertainment said in statement:

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12. With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

We continue to wonder when the show, after all this time, will produce a viable charting star. That said, there’s no denying it’s a powerful and lucrative platform — for its “coaches.” So kudos to Alicia and co for snagging their spots.

*************

On a relatively random note, surely we aren’t the only one’s who noted the absence of Christina Aguilera‘s name and punched the air with excitement?

See, while we love us some Xtina, we’re more than ready for an unobstructed comeback to the music scene and have long lobbied for her to give the show a rest.

Her omission from the list (granted it’s still not known who’ll appear with Cyrus in the Fall season) is as good a sign as possible that something new is on the horizon. At least we hope as much.

Why does “Hey Girl” sound like “Bennie and the Jets”?

Does it really matter? The show is tired and has yet to produce a star like AI.

The show is nothing but promo for the judges. No one cares about the contestants.

Just like no cares for your beloved Cedric…

Yeah i stay waiting for them to focus on the talent and not judges. And the two seasons a year is insane.

Christina better stay with the show if she isn’t pregnant where else will she have any notoriety, her music career as a superstar is dead due to her long breaks. So unless she has a mother kid, she needs to flip off an on with Gwen Stefani.

Wonder if Usher will come back. Poor CeeLo lost his good job on the series. Pharrell too is the best mentor IMO.

I hate to say it but this proves that the world does not care about the voice. You have to have the total package. Looks, stage presence , everything. Just being a good singer won’t but it theses days. That rarely works out for some. However I loved Miley on this show. She makes it worth watching.
