New Song: Ariana Grande & John Legend – ‘Beauty & the Beast’ [Full]

Published: Friday 3rd Feb 2017 by Rashad

With anticipation building for Disney’s live action remake of their classic animated film ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (in theaters March 17), a lens is being placed on its title track revamped by Ariana Grande and John Legend.

Big shoes to fill for Legend and Grande as the tune’s original version sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson not only made a huge splash on the Hot 100, but also earned an Academy Award.

Fans keen to find out if they did the soaring number justice are invited to their first full listen inside.  Be our guest…

While Ariana and John sound heavenly together, why does the instrumental track sound like some karaoke sh*t?  Yeah, we’ll forever prefer the Celine and Peabo version to this, we must give credit where it is due.

The pairing, though odd, sound great and makes us wonder how they’d fare on an original ballad.

Your thoughts?

Cute. I prefer Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson’s version though! Besides, I’ve seen the entire movie just from the trailer.

Give me the original any day. John was ok, but they could’ve chosen someone with more soul other than Ariana. When will people get it. Just because you have a big voice doesn’t mean you how to use it.

Really liked the trailer version. They can both sing, and that was the focus. But this production sounds incredibly cheap, like a karaoke version. While it could never be timeless, it could have been great.

While I do not like this version, it does however fits the target audience yet it does not fit the film.

    • Mark111 /.\ February 3, 2017

I’m sure there’s more than one version. This is clearly the Radio Disney version.

      • NeNe Leakes February 3, 2017

Nope, go on iTunes, the soundtrack playlist is up. There’s this version and the movie version. What you hear is what you’re getting.

I just want to hear the new song Celine mutherfucking Dion has recorded for this cheap version of a movie that won´t make any impact (as all the current live action versions of the animated classics).
