Predictions Are In: DJ Khaled’s ‘Grateful’ Set To Sell…

Published: Sunday 25th Jun 2017 by Rashad

With the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Justin Bieber and more of a star-studded lineup that only he could assemble, it’s safe to say DJ Khaled came out swinging for his 10th album, ‘Grateful.’

Preceded by hits ‘Shining,’ the recently released ‘Wild Thoughts,’ and ‘I’m the One’ (Khaled’s first ever #1 single on the Hot 100), the set – delivered courtesy of Epic Records – has seen the famed DJ dominate radio, streaming, and hit many-a-top venue in its support since the turn of the year.

Now, just two days after its release, analysts are turning in reports to indicate whether its high profile guest list and ongoing promotion will be enough to grant the ‘Major Key’ star major first week numbers:

‘Grateful’ 1st week Predictions:  135-150k SPS, 40-50k pure sales

Predicted Chart Placement:  #1

If the figures above ring true Khaled will not only garner the best premiere sales week of his career, but the project would also lay claim to his second consecutive chart-topper on the Billboard 200.

His first #1 on the tally came just last year with the Grammy-nominated ‘Major Key,’ which sold 96,000 equivalent album units its first week.

Flop. That’s what he gets for putting Nikki p** wack ass on 2 songs. The female rap narrative gon change and that evil witch gon be laid to rest

  5. G7Pat June 25, 2017

I knew streaming would be his saving grace.

  6. Crryy June 25, 2017

That’s kinda not good, giving that so many “top” artists on the album.

  7. I can’t June 25, 2017

    Not good.

  8. Hmmm… June 25, 2017

Didn’t Trey Songz do 45k pure sales?? Khaled has an album with so many popular artists including Beyoncé and Rihanna and pulls similar numbers??? This is a flop and you can’t blame it on the music climate either given what it other artists have been able to do.

  9. The World is a Ghetto June 26, 2017

Wow. Less than 50k in pure sales! All of that promo and all of those features?!

  10. Casual June 26, 2017

These are decent numbers. Who’d really want a DJ Khaled album? His thing is collab singles.
