Mariah Carey is finally gearing up to release new music! Yes, we’re forgetting ‘I Don’t’ ever happened.

Taking to social media, Mimi shared the trailer for new Holiday movie ‘The Star.’
Aptly titled, the Sony Pictures Christmas flick features a number of notable names including Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. It hits US theaters on November 10th 2017.
Interestingly, Carey won’t be voicing any of the characters herself. But, at the end of the teaser, it’s revealed that will be releasing a single – also titled ‘The Star.’

The venture sees Mariah extend her now famous relationship with the festive season. Indeed, in recent years, she’s built on her classic ‘All I Want For Christmas’ with a seemingly endless list of Xmas themed projects.
This aside, one has to wonder whether she’ll hold true to her promise of releasing her new album this year too?

Mariah single is being produced by a legend so hopefully its great vocals, great climax (something none of you seem to have every had). Looking forward to a “FADED” moment or at least a great “HERO” moment. Cuz we all know Mimi sleeps on GREAT B-sides and then blames her record company
WHO CARES! Mariah is haggard and washed. NOTHING she touches anymore turns into a solid, bonafide success. I wish she would bow out gracefully. This constant release of “new music” and television appearances are a pure embarrassment and tarnish of what could have been a legendary career.
Ms. Mariah has contractual obligations. Her whole career has been messy but it works for her brand and got her 500 million in net worth. From sleeping with and stealing a married man, Tommy Mattola, to public breakdowns, to drastic changes in physical appearance, Mariah stays collecting coins and I think she needs to the spotlight to keep her somewhat sane.
Not to mention payola and selling her singles at .99 cents.

I wish Whitney was still alive, she used to be almost as good vocalist as Mariah is. I know Whitney and Celine were never as good as Mariah, but I still enjoyed their songs when they could sing. Too bad Whitney lost her voice in 90’s and died leaving only a few good songs and a bunch of outdated crap with medicore vocals. 🙁
