It’s a week of debuts for Toni Braxton.

Indeed, beyond the Friday arrival of new album ‘Sex & Cigarettes,’ tomorrow brings with it the season 6 premiere of ‘Braxton Family Values’ and the video for ‘Long As I Live.’

The latter will be unleashed after BFV on WE tv and features the 50 year-old’s sisters Tamar and Towanda Braxton.

Having taken the masses behind the scenes of the glossy clip, Toni has shared a sneak peek of the finished product.

What are you waiting for? Watch below…

Looks lush! Bring on the premiere!

Her album is out Friday. The video should have already been released a month ago with some live performances this week. What’s up with the promotion?

Bruno Mars album only has 9 tracks, no remixes or bonus tracks, and nobody complained, so whats with the complaints about Toni’s album?

Ive often wondered why people complain when an artist only selects 9 or 10 tracks for inclusion. At 9.99, thats new music you will have forever. Many of them pay that much for a drink at a bar (or two) thay they will eliminate later??‍♂️

It is not that at all. Believe it or not there is a big difference between an 8 track album verses a 9 track album. 8 tracks feels like an EP while 9 tracks feels like it is just 1 track shy of 10. Furthermore, Bruno is an artist that people know will pit out new material every 2 years whereas Toni takes very long breaks in between albums. Her last solo album was 2010 so I’m sure her fans want more songs after waiting so long. I will buy it and I’m sure I will love it. Maybe some unreleased tracks will leak so there are more songs for this era than just 8.

Thank you Jasmine. Shouldn’t even have to explain that. It’s been a long wait.

@Jasmine, while you’re definitely right about the difference in feel between an 8 track EP and a 9+ song album, the real reason why artists are opting for shorter tracklistings is because billboard only counts the 1st 10 songs of an album toward digital sales. anything beyond that they don’t count. So in order to make sure their numbers are right, artists are doing shorter projects and EPs because they know those tracks will count towards billboard charting positions for digital streaming. I read this back in an article last year. The game has definitely changed…
