Janet Jackson is quickly becoming 2018’s festival queen.
The Pop royal recently wrapped up her ‘State Of The World Tour,’ but is getting ready to heat up the live circuit this summer with a string of appearances at multi-act extravaganzas.
Today brought with it the announcement of the latest – the Outside Lands festival. And it may be Jackson’s most significant yet.

Taking place at San Fransisco’s Golden Gate Park the weekend of August 10th-12th, the spectacle will see Jackson serve as the festival’s first ever female headliner. She shares the feat with fellow headliner Florence + The Machine.
The likes of Lana Del Rey have performed there in recent years, but never in a top-billed capacity.

The slot extends the 51-year-old’s stacked summer itinerary which currently includes the Essence Music Festival, Panorama NYC, and FYF Fest.
