The legendary Lauryn Hill is set to celebrate her magnum opus in a major way.

The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter has announced the 20th anniversary tour of ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.’
The 1998 set birthed hits such as ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’ and ‘Everything is Everything,’ and won five Grammy Awards. In 2015, ‘The Miseducation’ was inducted in the US Library of Congress.
Needless to say, there’s much to salute about the astute album.
Set to kick off July 5th at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach, the trek will play almost 30 dates through to October 5th at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.

Well there aren’t many female rappers with classic rap albums and NONE with a rap/sung album so it’s unique. We have cardi who is a horrible rapper and nicki who makes the same music over and over plus wants to be lil Kim soooooo bad so it’s ok to cherish how amazing female rap USED to be. Not everyone has this to their credit

Same thing I said. Yes Lauryn Hill is an icon an amazing artist. But she has shown she is not as dedicated to these live shows as her true fans are. She won’t be tricking me into spending my money on tickets.
She should do a live session on Facebook live instead…but then again, it could be at her damn house and she still wouldn’t show up for the video streaming.
I need to see a few performances before I’ll buy, that album stands the test of time but Ms. Hills rep for not showing or ridiculous lateness has effected the grateness.

I love Lauryn and while I think the album is a classic I think you’re right they won’t be doing that in 20 years they will likely be performing NEW material which sadly to say lauryn clear has give up on which is sad because she had so much promise an still does miseducation made and destroyed her at the same time. Plus I think cardi will do maybe 3 albums an move on to either starting a label or other ventures

Yes I went too, and she was on time, and performed well during her entire long set. Everyone there had a blast. These comments are so messy. It seems like the days of late Lauryn are in the past. Support true talent.

God knows I love Ms. Lauryn Hill but please also bless us with new material too. Perhaps this might be a sign I hope like how DAngelo released Black Messsiah 14 years later after VooDoo. I had figured after the Nina Simone album tribute she was gearing to release something of her own. Hopefully she does, she did sign a contract with Sony again.
What sets Lauryn Hill apart from other female rappers is that she spoke about social issues with such intellect.

Have you guys noticed there´s literally no good maisntream song out right now at all??? Like at all and is not to be expected? No wonder why Drake can release whatever song that makes zero impact and top singles charts as he pleases.
There are still good albums out there (normally not mainstream anymore). But great maisntream songs? Like 2 or 3 per year and that´s it? The industry is dead. Pure pshit everywhere. Now that basic girl with the wackest songs one can imagine (Camila) is supposed to be a thing? Sad.

hopefully it will be a better show this time around – i saw her in 2015 and it was AWFUL, not only did she delay the show for 2 hours, after about 5 songs, she left the stage for what they advised would be a short break – we left and heard it was more then an hour before she came back. It was by far the worst concert ever and she didn’t sing any of her original songs, it was these weird mash up mixes that just didn’t have her distinctive flow.
I used to care but went to her concert where she was sooooo late and her performance was subpar
