Billboard 200: Doja Cat Scores Third Top 10 Album With ‘Scarlet’

Doja Cat‘s latest musical shape-shift arrived in the form of her new studio album ‘Scarlet.’

With the momentum of the hit machine that was her preceding project, Planet Her,’ on her shoulders, the multihyphenate led the LP cycle with single ‘Attention.’ The release was quickly followed by the Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Paint The Town Red.’

Has the buzz translated onto the album’s performance on the Billboard 200?

On this week’s edition of the coveted count, ‘Scarlet’ launched at #4 with equivalent US sales of 72,000.

Of that sum, 65,000 units were accrued via 88.35 million streams of the album’s 17 songs. Pure sales were comprised of 6,000 units.

The feat sees Doja nab her third consecutive top 10 album on the Billboard 200.

2019’s ‘Hot Pink’ peaked at #9 and 2021’s ‘Planet Her’ premiered and peaked at #2.

      Miley had a #1 hit and her album underperformed too. Goes to show that people will stream your song but skip the album. Doja turned a lot of folks off this era.
