With all eyes on the homegoing celebration of Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin (click here to watch), Empress of Soul Gladys Knight gave fans a scare when she revealed she and the late icon “had the same disease.”
Offering little more clarification, reports like the one found here immediately began flooding the net with news the 74-year-old was suffering from pancreatic cancer – the disease that claimed the life of Franklin.

It is unfortunate that on a day we should be celebrating Aretha’s life and massive contribution to our world, a reporter who did not relay accurate information has missed the message. I send my love to the entire Franklin family and my gratitude to them for sharing such an extraordinary person with us.”

Thank u Jesus!!!
I’m glad Gladys beat cancer. Regardless of the kind, cancer is not good and will cause worry.
Trying to over shadow Aretha
