Lady Gaga has officially been confirmed as a performer at the Oscars 2019. And she’ll be joined by ‘A Star Is Born’ co-star Bradley Cooper.

The pair’s chemistry helped steer ‘Star’ to $400 million at the global box office and established their song ‘Shallow’ as a bonafide Billboard smash.
With the latter nominated at this year’s awards, a live performance from Gaga was expected. However, Cooper – who has referenced his singing as being confined to the film – was less of a certainty.
However, fresh from performing the song together for the first time at Stefani’s ‘Enigma’ show, the Academy have announced that the duo will be joining forces at the February 25th ceremony to perform the jam.

Her was a gigantic flop. It had 7 reviews paid for by the PRs handling this disastrous album reading like 8th-grade press releases. The tired news articles surrounding this release of “The Star” showed how tired, fickled and out-of-touch Gaga is as an artist. The industry has moved on without her. 90% of this album’s sales were from prehistoric technology – CDs – leaving about 10% for streaming (which is the main market these days) which makes her album even MORE of a flop. Then this hilarious movie awards and movie producers tries to spin hideous sales by saying “Well numbers don’t count anyway in this current climate”. Yeah, nice try – that’s like patting your loser child on the head after coming last in a race and saying “taking part is what counts”. Sales are everything. I’m sorry, but for a legacy artist of the stature of Gaga, a woman who touts herself as one of the biggest divas in the industry, those numbers are catastrophic, potentially career ending.
Sales are what count at the end of the day and they’re the best yardstick and measure of an artist’s popularity. Gaga couldn’t face another Joanne or Artpoop level flop, but she’s got it – this time with the full weight of the media on her side making it even more of a fail. She’s an opportunist, out-of-touch example of a star whose legacy went to their head and they’re living in a bubble surrounded by sycophants and Monster- her delusional fans, in a downward spiral and refusing to change or adapt to an industry which has left them behind. The funny thing about this award show trying to put a positive spin on a flop is that nobody will even buy it – nobody cares anymore about the has been Gaga. Only a few fanatical Monsters who are ageing 30s douchebags.

Back in the 80s and 90s celebrities were refered to as t*** idols or idols. They seduce with their tongue, voice, eyes, bodies, speech, scent (perfume), music…be aware if you find yourself being enticed then it is surely an enchantment. It is ritual.
