New Song: Ciara – ‘Thinkin Bout You’

Published: Thursday 28th Mar 2019 by Rashad

‘Wake Up, No Make Up’ singer Ciara is waking fans up to new music from her long-awaited seventh album, ‘Beauty Marks.’

The follow-up to a string of critically acclaimed cuts (see:  ‘Greatest Love,’ ‘Dose,’ and ‘Level Up’), the new tune – ‘Thinkin Bout You’ – has been teased in earnest since its announcement just days ago (click here to read).

Undoubtedly a 1,2 step away from her usual sonic offerings as she’s best known for party-starters and bass heavy slow jams, ‘Thinkin’ rings as an 80s-inspired, mid-tempo funk groove akin to the offerings of fellow Urban stageblazer Janelle Monae.

Curious what we mean? Hear it for yourself:

We like and appreciate the display of versatility.  Adventurous, but unquestionably an earworm and welcomed departure from her norm.

‘Thinkin’ is just one of many gems lining ‘Beauty Marks’ that you can expect to rock your socks off.  Click here to see the entire track list.

I heard the entire song this is a snippet. I love it. It gives me a 80s vibe! Her new album cover slays! Im proud of her! She keeps going no matter how many of you lonely unhappy h*** try to bring her down!

      Exactly.

Cici never gives up & is always putting 100 percent into her art. I respect the hustle. That snippet is giving me 80s Prince vibes. Here for it.

    Sounds good.

Love it. Im curious to see the visual. Hopefully this gets sent to Pop radio. The whites will love it!

Def one of her BEST videos EVER!! The song has to grow on me though. I think an urban bop would’ve fit even better for the MASTERPIECE of a video she made for this track!!

I need to hear the entire song, but it sounds like it has potential.

I don’t think she should include the three previously released tracks on the album. The songs weren’t very strong and they’ll just take up space. But that’s just my opinion.

Agreed. She should’ve just kept Level Up and given us all new tracks.

Can’t find it on iTunes or Apple Music ?
And sad there’s no deluxe cause we heard half these songs. Can’t wait to hear what the Kelly feat sounds like? cover is amazing too

Ciara did step out of comfort zone for this one but It does not pack the punch she needs to get back to the top. But hopefully her new album will satisfy all her fans and supporters.

Ciara has been in the industry for fifteen years, eleven of which were spent underperforming.. I say this with no ill-intent at all, because I actually like Ciara – but her glory days are long gone. At this point, she should continue to brand herself and make the music that SHE enjoys.

This is a good song, and this is how she should’ve started. This should be considered the first official single from the album. I like the cover of the album as well

Man for such an album cover I feel she should’ve gone harder but this still is Billboard Hot 100 worthy but for some reason these days female R&B artists struggle to chart or make much of an impact.

Give it a good music with a lot of colors and place it in a movie/show.

I think this is the best sound for her, like “Livin It Up”, but it doesn’t seem to be very popular with her main fan base.

This is nice but did janelle monae collab with her on this song….this songs like a Dirty Computer leftover which is not a bad thing cause vocally Ciara slayed the song and delivered
