Ciara is making a beeline for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
Because, it’s just been announced that Super Ci will be taking to the stage at the extravaganza next month.

In an announcement made moments ago, it was revealed that the singer will be giving the first live performance of current single ‘Thinkin Bout You’ at the BBMAs on May 1st at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Beyond joining a stacked bill that includes Mariah Carey, Madonna, Normani, Sam Smith, Khalid, Kelly Clarkson, and BTS, the slot comes as quite the coup for CiCi’s on-going album campaign.
For, her seventh studio LP ‘Beauty Marks’ drops shortly after the showing on May 10th.
Also freshly added to the performer line-up are Halsey, Tori Kelly, and Dan + Shay.

Anyone hating on Ciara should start thinking bigger. Cici is collecting her money bags. So what if her music sales or not. She is out there collecting money bags and music is just get gimmick to get modeling, endorsement, concert, and appearance fee money bags. Plenty of her mid 30s year olds peers ‘flop’ and most people give them a pass because they know to make their money from other means besides music sales (Ashanti, Michelle Rowland, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Monica, Keysha Cole, etc). Like role model Beyonce said, ‘the best revenge is your paper’ so I’m glad Ciara is doing that. BTW Future doesn’t even have 1/4th the net worth Russel Simmons has so he can stop with all the Ciara / Russell hate too. It takes a real man to step up and raise another man’s child so Russel is the real man in this situation figuratively and literally! Russel don’t have hair weaved down his back like a woman and making a bunch of babies by different women.
Ciara’s resilient spirit has kept her afloat for well over a decade. Whilst the majority of her albums underperformed, she continues to preserver. Say what you want about CiCi, but she stays booked and relevant regardless of charts and Stan wars.. GOOD FOR HER!! I hope Beauty Marks will be a successful era for her. She deserves it.
I agree, her humility and perseverance are inspiring. But if only the stars aligned enough for her to add 3 more bangin’ brand new tracks to the new album, it would be fresher and may more of an element of surprise for the era ?

This just might be a cute show. With Mariah, Ciara and Normani all performing. Even Madonna even tho I don’t care for her at all, I’m sure she’ll bring some excitement as well.
Didn’t she perform at this same show last year? New year and she still ain’t been on a single damn chart … I’m scratching my head on this one Billboard.

Who cares if she’s charting? It’s just a good thing to see actual exciting performers on the stage not named Beyoncé, JLo, or even Rihanna. Nothing wrong with them but some how these shows forgot that they are not the only exciting female performers.
So because Ciara is black you attack her but your eyes are blind to all the white and hispanic performers who perform at these award shows year after year like J. Lo with no nominations or singles charting. Like Mary J and the Game said in ‘Hate It Or Love It’ (Revised Lyrics):
