Nipsey Hussle is receiving a huge send-off.
Family, friends, and fans of the late rapper, who was shot and killed outside his clothing store in Crenshaw last Sunday, will say their goodbyes next week at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the venue (which seats 21,000) will officially serve as the venue for the MC’s memorial on Thursday (April 11th).
It’s the same venue that housed the mammoth send-off for the King of Pop Michael Jackson back in 2009.
Tickets will reportedly go on-sale imminently via a designated website, with entry reserved only for those with passes.
Hailed a West Coast hero, the ceremony (which is being put together with less than a week’s notice) is expected to spotlight the 33-year-old social advocacy as well as his musical legacy.
As reported, the man accused of carrying out his murder (29-year-old Eric Holder) has been formally charged, is being held on $5 million bail, and faces life in prison if convicted.
