Usher is officially off the hook in the $20 million herpes lawsuit filed against him.
Because this week, the accuser – Lauren Helm – filed paperwork to voluntarily end her case after reaching an “amicable resolution” with the singer.

The suit, which had been withdrawn and later re-filed for double the amount, was notably dismissed with prejudice. Translation? It can’t be filed ever again.
Per TMZ, attorneys for both sides are remaining mum and would only point back to the “amicable resolution.”
Typically when such lingo is drawn upon, it suggests a financial settlement “may” be involved.
Helm’s claim was that Ush exposed her to the virus after having unprotected sex with her. She was seeking the coins for emotional harm and punitive damages.
With this case and the others, the 40-year-old performer has been silent on the matter. As it stands, he’s in the studio working an what seems to be a sequel to his ‘Confessions’ album. Perhaps he’ll share his side there?
