Hours away from the release of Kanye West‘s highly anticipated new album, ‘Jesus Is King,’ the rapper-producer extraordinaire has revealed he plans to extend his reign from the Billboard 200 to movie box offices as well.
With an official release date confirmed on Sunday morning (Sept.29), the film will be coming to theaters late October to chronicle the recording process of the songs set to line its accompanying musical project.

The official release date was confirmed on Sunday morning (Sept. 28), and it appears that the film — a collaboration with IMAX — is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 25. Jesus Is King [film] depicts a special Sunday Service of West’s that took place in the Painted Desert of Arizona in the summer of 2019. The performance took place in the Roden Crater, an installation from renowned artist James Turrell.
