We hear the collective groan that greeted this from those waiting on new music from Ms. Fenty, who seems to be selling everything but new tunes these days.

However, we feel she’s playing the game extremely wisely.

Because, not only is she capitalizing on the stock in her brand (and in the process increasing said standing), she’s building up anticipation for her ninth LP in the process. Which, after the awkwardness that was the ‘ANTI’ pre-and-initial-release, she’s smartly avoiding this go round.

Your thoughts?

Lol the last paragraph referencing anti roll out. That album was a gem and didn’t it beat beyonce for longest album on the charts to date.

That album was a hot mess. She was putting out singles for a whole year before she stumbled on “Work.” And let’s not even get into that fraudulent a$$ Samsung deal that gave her platinum status without actually earning it.

So, the book is about Rihanna, not Beyonce

Well sorry Ri, but I’m not paying $150 to see you in print…now in person is another story…but I love your grind!

Rihanna fans are such spoilt brats. She’s been in the game for less than 15 years and yet has put out 8 albums and has 11 number one singles (as a lead artist). She’s breaking records that the legends set long ago (except live performances, LOL!) and she deserves to take time to live her life and focus on her own mental health. There was a time where she was putting out microwaveable fast food albums every other year. Maybe she’s actually taking her time to produce a real album this time around. Either way, Rihanna ain’t your entertainment s**** and you’ll get an album when she feels like putting one out!!!

Perhaps Rhianna decided awhile ago to work smarter and not harder. Being a pop girl is a LOT of work and you’re always at someone else’s disposal. By deepening her ventures into fashion, she can forego all that recording on a deadline, dieting, costume design, set list creation, rehearsal, seemingly endless interviews/promotion, and the rigors/expense of touring. She can design when the inspiration hits, promote as SHE sees fit, and make ancillary money (like this book) off of the various outputs – and make just as much, if not more, money. And as a benefit (because of today’s industry), she can also grow anticipation for another record without being forced to. The small gamble is that her music audience may have moved on, but “so what” since she has so many other streams of revenue/relevance. We shall see….

Goodbye. Rihanna is evident that your last album must have flopped
