Despite its critical acclaim, the commercial performance of Kesha’s comeback single, ‘Raising Hell,’ has raised concerns among her longtime fans who are crying foul about its lack of accompanying promotion. Released nearly a month ago, the song has yet to crack the Hot 100. Now, with the January 10th release date of its parent album, ‘High Road,’ nearing, the Pop songstress is dancing on to the next single – ‘My Own Dance.’
Written with John Hill, Justin Tranter, and Dan Reynolds, the emotional cut is thematically and sonically reminiscent of tunes found aboard the singer’s previous effort, ‘Rainbow.’ Tapping Allie Avital to direct its accompanying video, look inside to watch:
Kesha is among the performers slated to take the stage at next week’s American Music Awards (November 24). Hopefully, her performance of the cuts ignites deserved interest in her new album.
Raising hell didnt chart. If this song was released in 2011 it would have hit number one
2010’s musicians cant survive in this streaming era
Katy Perry Halles in Hawaii didnt chart also.
Katy Perry is the most streamed female artist on Youtube…. her problem is she won’t grow as an artist.
If this ain’t the truth sis. You spilled ☕?
Shes the most streamed artiste on YouTube thanks to her old hits produced by dr Luke.
Her old videos
How many views does Halles in Hawaii have
Her little s@tanic @ss
I like this song MUCH better than raising hell. But the video is a no. Kesha, this look isn’t giving party girl, or first album era, it’s giving trailer park Susie that had 4 kids by 18 and dropped out of school.
While the song is good, it’s not catchy like I expect from Kesha. This is the problem with Kesha and Katy – they both relied on Dr. Luke to produce their entire albums. Now that neither of them can work with him, they’re struggling. You have to work with more than one producer! Even Justin Timberlake needs to stop working with Timbaland on EVERY album for almost every song. Everyone isn’t capable of being what Quincy Jones was tot Michael Jackson.
But I’m still eager to hear the album, Kesha. Don’t circumcise my circumstance
Trashy 4 life…. give her back that desperate dollar sign
For nowadays standards this song deserves to be a hit. The video is great fun too.
