When Claude Kelly and Christina Aguilera teamed up to create her sixth studio album ‘Bionic‘ they believed its electronic sound and themes of self-love, fashion, travel and beauty would be celebrated by the world and judged fairly by critics and fans alike.
This week, Claude has revealed that the opposite occurred because a gossip platform launched a vicious campaign (endorsed by some senior figures in the music industry) to derail the album’s push and fling Aguilera’s brand into a web of ignominy.

Perez was a shady b*tch during these days (I mean, look what he did to Britney during 2007). But let’s be honest, Bionic was not that good of an album IN MY OPINION. This had more than 20 songs…nobody was still doing that when this sh*t came out. It was cheesy and she did try to rip off GaGa’s style with the Not Myself Tonight video. The concept, album cover, and the pathetic attempt at being s*** in that music video is what killed this album.
But for Perez to expose that GaGa was in on the attempt to derail this album, that is some tea I didn’t know. I still don’t like GaGa. Every time we see her she’s someone different. Who are you REALLY GaGa?? She seems calculated and manipulative.

The problem with this album was people wanted another Stripped album produced by Scott Torch and Christina delivered an album sounding like Gaga leftovers.
Nobody wanted Scott Storch back, she took too long and switched lanes completely (from retro soulful pop to futuristic electro)

Yeah it was that snake Perez who later admitted it was a plan conjured by him and lady Gaga…not only XTina was sabotaged by them.
A few years later he made a vlog on which he told gaga was obsessed with other female singers (she used to Call him all the time saying songstress A or singer B role her sound or image or ideas, in some of the cases he said it was ridiculous accusations) and that her position as “Kween” was at risk.
They sabotaged XTina, Porcelain BLack, Melanie Martinez, Kerli, Z-Lala, Natalia Kills and even Jlo!
They tried to do the same with Madonna but in this case it was a lost battle Madonna thrived and step on those two roached…

This album should have never been released! The “Burlesque” soundtrack would have been the best move after “Back To Basics” but she wanted to get Bionic out so bad. Bionic flopping tainted the movie release.

How can you guys compare bionic to any lady Gaga’s albums. Sorry to bust your bubble this album was way ahead of its time compared to Gaga’s. Bionic had the hate train still does cause everyone of these comments were and still on the bionic hate train. Business is people treatment foremost. Xtina had Mo’Nique’s difficult rep and Ariana’s diva rep working against her. Mary J Blige exposed her alleged nastiness to an R&B audience willing to listen post-TRL. Her constant shots at her vocal lesser, Spears, gave Britney Taylor Swift’s victim card. Her altercation with Mariah Carey cost the newcomer Streisand/ Houston/ Dion adorers. Her outing her gay ex boyfriend alienated gay audiences and industry big wigs. And her ex-husband, who referred to her with his co-workers as “Crazy”, was her only saving grace while making Stripped. Notice that nothing post their divorce has been thrilling musically.
Christina has been washed up since the mid 2000’s. No one was checking for her when she released Bionic. Let’s be honest.
Bared it all by her 2nd album. With her mystery and mystique gone, what else was left to the public to look forward to? I get her “integruous” refusal to work with hip producers, but songs that revived interest in her were simple sing-along tunes. I believe she naively overestimated the general public’s musical appreciation. Add death of anticipation/scarcity with the death of the CD … voilà.
I personally enjoyed the album. I agree with alot of the comments on her sound changing ways. I also think she should really really consider getting back to her stripped days. she was welcomed into a culture that fit her amazing soulful sound. That’s the doorway back to the Top Xtina!

I have to disagree. It was never Christina’s style to copy ANYONE, but Gaga was making things look cool and Christina tried to prove that she’s worthy of the same attention by copying exactly what Gaga was doing at the time regardless of where it originated. It was a big misstep, because the comparisons destroyed any potential Christina had with the project.

Boinic is one of my favorite albums by Christina Aguilera!! I have been a huge fan of hers since the beginning. In bionic, Aguilera really pushed her talent and created something beautiful and alternative. I hope she will still work more on music like this album. Keep doing what you do Christina!! Your amazing.
