Like millions the world over, Madonna has expressed shock and disappointment following the death of an unarmed black man at the the hands of of a white policeman.
As reported, jaw-dropping footage captured the final moments of George Floyd‘s life – as he audibly complained of the strain and pain he felt as an officer knelt on his neck for seven minutes.
He died shortly after.
The scenes have sparked global fury, a sentiment the singer is echoing.

Bc she’s been fighting for the rights of women, gays and minorities since the beginning of her career. And spoke up when it was risky to her career and give zero F’s about making conservative white Americans uncomfortable to do what was right.

Gays & minorities, maybe. But women? She ushered in the stripping female singer prototype 90% of today’s stage singers emulate. If being naked liberates women en route to pay equality, be it. Just do NOT say she fought for women’s rights. Normalized musical strippers, maybe. Made shock value (in order to sell) mainstream. But feminism she did not help advance nor (re)define.
How about instead of talking, she use some of that 800m and considerable influence to make a difference for Floyd’s family? We don’t need her words unless it’s in a song…
