Iconic rocker Courtney Love is no stranger to ruffling feathers with her outspokenness over the years, but – as evidenced by quotes lifted from a recent interview – she may have stepped on the wrong toes this time.
Managing to piss off the two biggest fan bases in modern music at the same time, look inside to see what the Hole singer said that’s landed in her in the hole with Taylor Swift‘s #Swifties and Beyonce‘s #Beyhive.
Ironically hot on the promo trail for ‘Courtney Love’s Women,’ her new series dedicated to the women who have shaped her career, Love slammed some of music’s biggest names including Madonna, Lana Del Rey, Bey, and Tay in an interview with ‘The Standard‘ that was published Monday (April 15).
“Taylor is not important,” the 59-year-old said of the 14-time Grammy winner whom she also claims to “positively hate the idea of.” “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”
Elsewhere in the jaw-dropping interview, Courtney gave ‘Cowboy Carter‘ – the latest chart-topping album from Beyonce – a thumbs down.
“I like the idea of Beyoncé doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much,” she said. “As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music.”
Needless to say, those comments lit a fire on a social media among those divas’ biggest supporters.

I mean, she didn’t lie.
Exactly. I mean, Taylor has this huge fanbase and is the most succesfull Artist. Yet, she is somehow nothing. She doesnt set trends, her music is for the elevator, she didnt break any boundaries. So – no, she is far away from a Madonna.
And I loved the idea of Beyonce doing Country. But honestly, the Album is just ok and mostly Hype
Beyonce could had a great concept but from what it could be and what it actually is it’s 4/10
And Taylor is good at what she do, being the biggest mid artist in history. She’s the Drake of white pop music while Drake is the biggest mid artist of rap in history. Both didn’t bring any classic or important work to the game.

It’s stupid when someone gets attacked for sharing a valid opinion with reasons why they feel the way they do. We aren’t mandated to go along with the popular view on everything. We’re a nation full of robots and puppets.
Taylor Swift plays multiple instruments and writes her own songs and Beyonce is the best performer out there today. Now that those facts have been established, Courtney had the right to her opinion.
Anyone can learn an instrument and honestly Taylor’s own is nothing to write home about, lyrics very ABC, she can’t dance or sing too well sooo…
Learning an instrument is one thing and can take years to master. Being able to use it to compose original music is another. Taylor understands her audience and connects well with them. Complaining about her is fruitless because it will not reduce her popularity or make her go away. If you don’t like her just ignore her.
Taylor is Penny Pingleton from the orginal Hairspray and beyonce is Jane toussaint 2.0 from the movie school daze. Courtney is like Daria the cartoon. Lol

Beyonces music ISNT good. It’s just controversy, hype and people forcing themselves to like it because it’s Beyonce. Taylor couldn’t sing her way out of a wet paper bag but her music is miles better than Beyonces.
