In news trumpeted moments ago, it was announced that a deal had been struck between Apple and the hitmaking duo behind Verzuz – Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

Per the agreement, the streaming service will simulcast each battle live on its platform for free, at the same time as it streams on the Verzuz Instagram account. Thus, broadening its accessibility and reach.

Following each live showdown, fans will be able to re-watch on-demand via Apple Music.

A phenomenon over the last few months, Verzuz has broadcast battles between the likes of Babyface and Teddy Riley, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, Sean Garrett and The-Dream, and most recently Alicia Keys and John Legend. All of which have generated ample traction – including increased sales and visibility of the talent’s music.

All in all, this is a great look!
