Apart from a rocking sets from Alicia Keys and ‘Midnight Sky’ maestra Miley Cyrus (as we reported here), iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 was mostly a boys fest (among its bigger named acts) – a lineup few complained about once they got a load of jamming performances from the likes of Swae Lee, Bon Jovi, Kane Brown, Migos, Keith Urban, and more (as we reported here).
Among the most anticipated performers to line the bill was Usher – who is hot on the promo trail in support of his latest single, ‘Bad Habits.’
Previously tapped to host the 2020 ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’ (which was canceled due to the global health crisis), the 8x GRAMMY winner was still able to show off his performance prowess for the platform thanks to a showing at last weekend’s festival.

How long was the actual show? Usher and Miley performed for 30 minutes alone.
I like “Bad Habits” but after hearing it on the radio, seeing the video and seeing this live performance, it’s probably better as an album track because it’s not clicking as to why it’s the first single (same thing with Trey Songz new lead single). Maybe it’ll end up an a buzz track and be demoted to a bonus song.
I think C**** had a lot to do with the performance setups, or lack there of, on pretty much every award show this season. So, I definitely wouldn’t fault him for having a more reserved set. Everybody is dealing with the pandemic differently. I LOVE Bad Habits and can’t wait to see him really perform that.
He doesn’t look like much of a star here. I get the sense that he’s done pushing himself as far as dance and performance goes, which is unfortunate at his young age. Nelly is four years older than Usher and is on Dancing with the Stars doing back flips right now. I thought watching Usher would be like watching MJ reinvent himself through the years; always something fun and interesting.
Dancewise Usher has been rusty ever since turning 30. Boring performer now, he completely lost his mojo. Completely #WASHED UP. Never cared much for his voice, I prefer Skip Marley.
He peaked with confessions cause everything he puts out gets compared to it. Bad Habits to me sounds like a Confessions album track. Despite long breaks between albums he never seems to reinvent himself in any career defining ways. He’s just barely legacy act material imo cuz he’s fans are currently DOA just like his newer music. Legacy acts need STRONG albums and singles to stay relevant
