The Scott Storch-produced ‘Do It’ continues to deliver a number of “firsts” for sister act Chloe x Halle.
Acting as the lead single from their sophomore album, ‘Ungodly Hour,’ the Victoria Monet-penned tune not only boasts impressive critical acclaim but also comes as their first and highest charting single to date on the Hot 100.
Barely two weeks after we reported ‘Do It’ had peaked at #63 on the tally thanks to a star-studded remix featuring the likes of City Girls, Mulatto, and Doja Cat (click here to read), the sister act has learned the song is their first hit certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Among the recent RIAA log updates was the reveal that Chloe x Halle have earned their first Gold-certified record. Denoting sales of at least 500,000 units in the United States, the certification is awarded based on sales and streams performance in the awarding country.
The win comes just four months after the duo learned the tune’s parent album, ‘Ungodly Hour,’ became their first top 20 hit on the Billboard 200. Click here to read more.
