Miley Cyrus unleashed her seventh studio album this week, after months of fan-anticipation.
Originally configured as a three-part EP (see: ‘She Is…’ series), the singer scrapped that idea in favor of a more definitive body of work.
Having navigated many sounds over the course of her career, Cyrus says she set out to anchor her artistic proposition this go round.
Led by singles such as ‘Midnight Sky’ and the Dua Lipa assisted ‘Prisoner,’ all eyes are on the LP’s commercial performance.

Interestingly, while the numbers are arguably on the lower end for an act with Cyrus’ profile in Pop, they are in-line with the performance her last LP ‘Younger Now’ and follow-up EP ‘She Is Coming’ – which launched with 45,000 and 36,000 respectively.
It does beg the question of whether the singer’s sales are becoming for an act of her ilk or whether she is ultimately selling what she could, would, and should be.
