Lil Kim has her sights set on none other than Teyana Taylor to play her in a new biopic.

Speaking with Essence about narrating BET+‘s ‘American Gangster: Trap Queens,’ attention then turned to the long-discussed movie about the femcee’s life.
Addressing the hotly anticipated flick, Kim spotlighted Taylor as her pick for the lead role:
“I have a few offers. I have a secret but I can’t tell you. It’s dealing with me and my life a little bit, kinda.
I want people to know the real Kim. All the stories that everybody else tells, chile, don’t listen to it.
It can only be a girl that’s from the hood that I’m from. I love Teyana, she’s my only other thought. There’s nobody else in the industry at all but Teyana. But, even before Teyana–I love Teyana, but she’s from Harlem–before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect.”
Taylor, who intimated she is taking a break from music to focus on other ventures, has already proven her performance gravitas when it comes to embodying Kim.
She famously transformed into Notorious K.I.M in 2016 at VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors.’

At the time, Taylor said of the performance:
